Can anyone help me who goes to Birmingham University?
I'm strongly considering going to Birmingham University next year to study Sports and Exercise Science and would love some advice and feedback from anyone who goes there or does this course there to let me know what the UNI is like and what living in Birmingham is like..
Would love to hear back!

What do you want to know? I live just south of Birmingham and have done on and off for the last thirty years and start at UoB later this year (Nursing).
Birmingham is an okay place to live, the Uni is nice and close to the city centre with good travel links. Birmingham gets a bad rep but is an okay place to live, neither great nor terrible. If you like the countryside you can be out of the city in an hour and if you like the nightlife Broad street (for example) has a large selection of places to go. If you spend time and energy you can find some very good small music places. The food can be terrible and can be excellent (including a few very good places at low prices). It is in many ways a typical British city. The regeneration of the city centre has made it a more attractive place but it will still not win many beauty contests, in many areas it is run down but no more so than any former industrial city in the UK and in other places it is rather beautiful.
If you shop around it can be ‘cheapish’ to live and has problem areas like many cities but the area around the Uni is okay with cheap places to live, shop and eat.
