hey guys,

So recently passed my GTP (yay) and will be starting my NQT year at the same school (double yay). However, after the final meeting with one of my university tutors who signed me off, she said that several documents will be sent off to the teaching agency and then I 'should' recieve a letter in the post, if I don't I should not worry but I can also contact them to write a letter as proof that I've passed.

Erm is that accurate? Its been 3 weeks or so since I passed and have received nothing in terms of document proof so I was thinking of emailing my tutor but then thought shall I wait until September...

Congrats on completing the GTP, what are you going to be teaching?

Yeah that's true, I checked my course handbook and it did say the uni refers you to the TDA with QTS. But surely I should have had something by now?
I'll be teaching English secondary.

Don't worry at all. They are awful for getting things out- you wont receive your QTS certificate until late August- School's do know how late it takes them! I have been warned this by teachers and uni tutors

LOL wow really that late? I've emailed my uni tutor asking how long and requested in the meantime if they can at least write me a letter confirming I've passed which she did say they would be happy to do at my final meeting.
