Hi I've been volunteering so I have official accreditation from the home office already. I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any London 2012 jobs for waiting or retail still available?

I got told by someone that last week there were still 4 huge pages of job such as selling coke at olympic park and at other sites. I was told that everyone needed a CRB check to get their accreditation and this was taking them long to recruit more people as they haven't filled all vacancies. Dont worry

Unforunately not. I can nay assume you have to search for a while because on Adecco's 2012 page it says nothing is available. Not really sure. I heard G4S were still taking people especially those with accreditation as they won't need another crb check etc as the home office has already done their passes. No links I'm afraid. I was hoping someone on TSR would have info but clearly not

I got told by my bar leader yesterday that people with accredidation could literally walk into any olympic venue and ask for work and they'll almost be certain to find you something, i'm not too sure about the validiity of the claim...but I guess you could always try

I am also interested in this, I have accreditation from TheRetailPeople, I'm just not based in LDN so can't just head down to Stratford to scout it out, if I did find somewhere tho I'd be staying in LDN.

I'm also interested in this, i dont have accreditation but could easily get it though (had tons of crbs over the past year) and i live right on the end of the district line. Could really do with any kind of Olympic job (or a job) since it would probably look good on a resume. Been searching olympic jobs for weeks. Havent found anything. im willing to do anything at this point even if its really bad. Heck id even do voluntary work for the olympics at this point

Without accreditation, your chances are slim. CRB checks need to be completed as well as other stuff and then it needs to go through the home office. I reckon if you did get some olympic accreditation you could head straight to the olympic park. I think I might do that tomorrow and see if there is anything, not counting on it though.

u can't get through to the park with out an upgrade card even if you are accredited.

I'm working at wembley at the moment, however i'm essentially working through an agency called "Berkely Scott" who seem to take on quite a lot of staff for most jobs.

However on my card i'm apparently working for a company called "Delaware North"...however yeah it won't hurt to ask if they have any jobs available anywhere, alot of olympics venues probably need plenty of staff
