Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeWhat? he isn't patriotic if he only supports the UK during a sporting event. He has to support the country, military and all sporting events 24/7... not just for two weeks every four years(Original post by Rakas21)
Patriotism is unsuprising at the moment, we are watching the biggest ejaculation of nationalism seen since WW2.

Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeThat looks great. However, I would set a new NMW level.(Original post by toronto353)
This might be some help around which you can base your own Bill. It wasn't voted upon, but, as the author, you have my permission in advance should you wish to use it in any way, shape or form.

1. People should not be made to work, whether well or badly behaved
2. As I said oly the best behaved should be given the option of work and earning their own money
2. Dont like the compensation for the victims
3. Dont like all the government intervention
Some good stuff there though -
Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeSounds a lot like Murray fans in Tennis who think Wimbledon and the FO are just two random turnaments, when i told somebody the season stretched from Jan to Nov with events ever week they were pretty shocked.(Original post by tehFrance)

With that said i am not really patriotic myself, i rarely support the English (or Scottish). -
Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeAs I say, feel free to use any of it. I'm more than happy for you to do so.(Original post by MacDaddi)

Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeYou only won because of the rest of the Allies. Oh wait; we only invaded to conquer you, didn't we?(Original post by tehFrance)

Another thing is that I really don't understand why you Frenchies celebrate Bastille Day. You've had so many counter- and counter-counter-revolutions since then that it devalues it almost as much as you (and your hookers) devalue sex and relationships. -
Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeWhat are you trying to achieve exactly? all I see is you trying your hardest to insult me only failing and I also see a boy that is bitter because he sees another persons lifestyle and is jealous... exactly the response I wanted from you, jealousy, I bet if you were I, you would not be complaining so much.(Original post by Mazzini)

I am not jealous of your lifestyle, merci bien, monsieur. I am most happy with my own lot in this world. -
Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform Committee
Going back to prison reform... I do believe that military service will help overall.
Obviously there would be a consensus for allowing the well behaved inmates to work, give them more flexibility on how the decorate their cells but all this stuff is already done in the lower down prisons and really it doesn't appear to make a difference... most likely because these are criminals that didn't commit terrible crimes such as murder in the first place so are more likely to better behaved.
But yes, I think that military service would be best for those that are serving longer sentences, no matter how serve their crime was. -

Re: Cross-Party Prison Reform CommitteeI'm happy to help. Our prisons currently fail both prisoners and victims of crime. Recidivism rates are increasing as well as prisoners leaving jail with the addictions that caused them to commit crime.
The old model of punishment based justice is outdated and doesn't work.
