In university, is there a way to redo a module?
If your university requires you to fail before you can resit a module, is there any way you can improve upon one you passed?

I am interested in a specific area of Law, however, I was ill during my exam period, but sat the exam anyway. My university has evidence of my illness, and I got a 2:1 in the module, but I was on track for a first. Is there a way I could show potential employers that I was capable of this first, e.g. through additional work or doing an extended module in the third year?

I have heard you can do 'advanced' papers in the third year, is this essentially the same but more difficult, and would you recommend it, or recommend more diverse and different modules?

    Thanks!

Check your student handbook or speak to your tutor - it varies between course so noone on here can advise you on the specifics of your course.

Don't worry about it too much, employers likely to be more interested in your overall degree result, and your experience after graduation.

Seriously - don't lose much sleep over a single first year undergraduate module! There are more important things to worry about, really.
