How do I work out how many UCAS points I have if I have HEFC credits?
    Thanks for any help offered!

Re: Advice needed converting HEFC credits to UCAS points
HEFC credits are not comparable with the UCAS tariff - if I remember rigthly they're linked to a specific group of Access courses (and so are generally awarded to mature applicants). Whether an Access course is accepted by a university/subject is entirely down to the admissionscriteria for that subjects so unfortunately it's a case of phoning/emailing the relevent admissions staff at each university you're interested in before applying.

However *because* access courses are for mature students it's worth just picking out whichever courses you're interested in to enquire about - ignore the tariff scores - don't be intimidated by universities asking for A*A*A* - quite often they will also happily accept an Access course as a substitute (and sometimes courses asking for DDD at A level will refuse to take a specific Access course).

It makes for more options - but also more leg work in contacting each place individually to scope out their entry requirements before applying.
