Saying that you personally prefer blond guys is one thing, but saying most girls prefer blond guys is seriously stretching the truth too far. Most women prefer dark haired men, hence the phrase 'tall, dark and handsome' and why most adverts use dark haired male models.

I think most women would say their preference for men is:

Dark Hair >> Dark Blond or Light Brown > Light Blond >>>>>>>> Ginger

Wasn't trying to offend you or anyone else for that matter but most people I know go for the blonde fair haired guys :-) also many male models have blonde hair and even fair haired actors are preferred over the tall dark and handsome :-)

On which planet does this happen?

The only major blond male film icon of recent times is Thor and that's because they had no choice but to make him blond. Pretty much every other lead male has dark hair, particularly those portrayed as powerful, highly attractive, intelligent, mysterious or superhuman. If fair hair is preferred, they would cast many blond lead males or get the dark haired ones to dye their hair blond. This does not happen. Why? Because society and the media favours dark haired men.

EDIT: Oops forgot the much loathed glittery boy from Twilight.

The way I see it, we generally have cute blond haired boys and sexy dark haired men. Most women like men, not boys.

I was never entirely sure what the dark in tall, dark and handsome meant.
Hair (just black or brown too?), skin (tanned or ethnic or both?), both or is it a personality thing like being mysterious?

Being blonde isn't your problem.
I've never heard of a girl/women hating blonde guys.
Some may have a preference for brown and/or black hair but even then they would still be with a blonde guy.
As long as you aren't sickly looking being pale isn't a bad thing...especially not with all this twighlight stuff.
Fake tan on a guy is always bad. A light natural tan is acceptable but a guy who has clearly tried to tan surely makes girls think he is vain etc.

Also don't blonde people tend to burn easily?

Yeah, true but they normally end unlucky cos they can't get over themselves. Got one or two good looking mates and they get a lot of attention from girls but in the long run, the women realise they are pretty self obsessed so it doesn't work out
