Hey Guys;

Well, I know this may seem like a daft question but how important are friends to you in your day to day life and how often do you see your friends?
So, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being impossible to imagine life without them and 1 being I prefer to be by myself) how would you rate yourself?

Personally, I rate friends as either the first or second most important thing in my life (I don't know what takes priority in my life, friends or family) - Does this make me a bad person?
So, it is a very clear 10 for me. =)

Having been to university, I've realised that friends are far more important when your younger and/or less mature. Priority 1 should be your career or studies so that you can get money to raise a family comfortably. Anyone who says or thinks otherwise is probably a failure who rationalises things to make themselves feel better.

edit: in other words you should have friends who stimulate you to be more successful, not friends who drag you down (like most do).

10, but recently my friends who I went to Sixth Form with are being megabitches, so I'd say my two best mates and my best mate who lives in Wales 10, everyone else 1.

I, unintentionally, ignore my friends - during holidays, weekends etc. - but the thought of being without them is a bit worrying.

I think friends are very important to me and have a great social circle but don't feel the need to be around them all the time (unlike a lot of people in my area) to enjoy myself or validate myself.

I also think you should surround yourself with friends with similar ambitions to yourself, ergo friends who will build you up rather than drag you down.

Friends are more important to me than my family - I'm single but I think to think that I won't neglect my friends should I find a partner.

Mmmhh as I'm moving away, I know that I won't keep in touch with some (read: most) of my friends, but I know of two that definitely will, and for me they definitely rank 9-10. Everyone else I do care about but have no illusions of how long we're going to keep in touch after my move.

My friends are very important to me - I have two that I absolutely love and would trust with my life. I grew up with them (well met them when I was 11 - i'm now 20)... I don't see them all the time. But the thought of not having them scares me.

Good friends are very important to me and I would do anything or them and vice versa. But then you have those 'friends' who are kinda just there and you talk to once in a while that aren't as important.
