What are you doing to celebrate results day?
GCSE or A-level. I tried to see if there was another post like this, and I couldn't find one, if there is, I apologise and could someone please post the link.
Are you attending a large celebration?
Would you rather celebrate with friends or family?
In general, what are you going to do to celebrate?
I just wanted to see if it was normal for a person to get their results, chat for a bit with friends and then go home? Which is what I am considering at the moment.
On results day of last year (I was in year 10), my friends and I just hung out at school for a bit and then some of us went to someone's house. I know year 10 results weren't that significant, but looking back I think I would have preferred to go home and celebrate with my family.
My friends are probably all more intelligent than I am, plus I am a shy person, so sometimes in large gatherings I would prefer just to go home, also it ends up being a one man (or woman show). Additionally my best friend unfortunately is visiting her family in Germany during the 23rd, so we won't be able to see each other
Good luck for results day, and the future.

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
I'm scottish so we don't collect our results at school, we get them via post and email/text if we want. This means that I will open my results alone at home - which I am thankful for as I'd hate to open them at school - and then I'll probably celebrate with my family when they are home from work. I will, though, do something with my friends, wether it be out for lunch or dinner or jus hanging out at someones house, which we do all summer anyway.

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
Last year for AS results a large group of us collected results at school, then walked into town and we saw the inbetweeners movie then had an all you can eat chinese buffet.
This year for A2s i think we are going to collect results and then if things need to be sorted, do that and then hit the town in the evening/night. -
Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
Last year (AS results day) my friends and I all met in our local Sainsburys after collecting results, bought lots of food and then went to my friends house for a 3 course breakfast (fruit salad, egg and sausage muffins and pancakes
) before going to the cinema to watch the Inbetweeners film. Then we all went home about 5ish to pack (we were going to V Festival the next day). In the evening I had a Chinese with my parents to celebrate. It was nice doing things- otherwise it would have felt a bit like an anti climax.
This year, as far as I know, there is nothing planned for the day time. I might even be working. But in the evening practically the whole year group is going out for student night so we can either celebrate, or commiserate, with alcohol. -
Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
if theyre good - cry with happiness, go get a drink and a bite to eat cause i can never eat when i'm nervous, and then maybe go to a friends house.
if theyre bad - cry with sadness, see if i can find somewhere i like in clearing, cry over a tub of ice cream, go home.

Last year a group of us met up at school to collect our results then went into town for a coffee. Me and my best friend then went shopping and spent a fortune to celebrate! Haven't got anything planned for this time, probably something similar.

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
I think this year (AS results) I'll collect my results. If things are good then me and my friends are going to go swimming, if not I'm going straight home! Then I'm probably going out for lunch with my mum, and then doing something in the evening with friends

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
Well, I've been studying from home so I don't have school friends to celebrate with, I don't really see it as a celebratory thing anyway, I'm not getting a place at University this year regardless. So if I get my results great, if not I may have to go and buy some Tequila or a big slab of chocolate whichever I happen to come across first xD
