Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
Completely depends what the results are. I did the subjects I'm good at in year 10 and got good marks in those, however for year 10 our school wouldn't even allow us in to get the results so I just sat at home. This year I have subjects like english where I'm good at but not that good at them, thus my results are expected to be lower. I do however have additional maths, philosophy AS and extended project AS that I'm getting results in on the 16th so those are the ones that I'm most concentrated on.
So my results day will probably consist of me being happy with the results but my dad telling me I could have done better (when I got an A on my report he had a go at me for not getting an A*, what a **** ) -

GCSE or A-level. I tried to see if there was another post like this, and I couldn't find one, if there is, I apologise and could someone please post the link.
Are you attending a large celebration?
Would you rather celebrate with friends or family?
In general, what are you going to do to celebrate?
I just wanted to see if it was normal for a person to get their results, chat for a bit with friends and then go home? Which is what I am considering at the moment.
On results day of last year (I was in year 10), my friends and I just hung out at school for a bit and then some of us went to someone's house. I know year 10 results weren't that significant, but looking back I think I would have preferred to go home and celebrate with my family.
My friends are probably all more intelligent than I am, plus I am a shy person, so sometimes in large gatherings I would prefer just to go home, also it ends up being a one man (or woman show). Additionally my best friend unfortunately is visiting her family in Germany during the 23rd, so we won't be able to see each other
Good luck for results day, and the future.

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
I shall be celebrating my 3 D/E/U's with a TaekwonDo seminar 2 days later, and the knowledge that I'm on the equivalent of an A in the BTEC subject I'm doing.
Also, gonna see if I can ''borrow'' a bottle of gin off a mate of mine and then drink myself into oblivion, forget everything for a few hours. -
Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?DETERMINATION(Original post by cyfer)
Collect my results.
If they are good, remind myself that it is only the beginning and I am yet nothing.
If they are bad, strive to be better.
. If they are good still celebrate and remember that point.

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?I am far too narcissistic already. A celebration would only be detrimental to me. At most I will just tell my family and get on with life.(Original post by chrissy dee)
DETERMINATION
. If they are good still celebrate and remember that point.

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
Hmm...it depends on my results!
Results to get me into my first choice - a quick trip up to the uni to show my certificates then I'm going out for dinner with my family.
Results that mean I go to my insurance - I'll have to sit and phone that uni, possibly have to do the 4hour car trip there and sort out what I'll be doing because I'll have to move out of my house in 3 and a bit weeks!!
..or maybe celebrating the fact I have to resit Statistics ...damann I revised ohh soo hard aswelll
