Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day? This happened to one of my best friends last year, so I sympathise with you compleyely(Original post by simibean)
I have to go to a wedding after getting my GCSE results. How fun.
She went into school and receed brilliant AS results, and wasn't even allowed to celebrate it because the rather solitary wedding was straight after!

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
You don't have to go out and get hammered or anything. For my AS and GCSE results I pretty much got my results in the morning, talked to some of my friends(and classmates) then went home and told my mum and family what I got.
Now that I am waiting for my A2 I plan on going to collect my results early in the morning and talking to my friends about how they did then If I did pretty well I will go home and start arranging my stuff into uni and throw away or keep home section, put on some epic Lion King music and prepare for freedom. Then will probably go out to eat out or shisha or something on the weekend. If I do really poorly on the other hand I probably won't want to be surrounded by people telling me how well they have done so I will make a swift exit and just go home and hibernate in my bedroom lol.
It is up to you really what you do but its normal to just get your results and go home seeing as it will most likely be early in the morning. -
Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?I just went home.(Original post by Worms)
GCSE or A-level. I tried to see if there was another post like this, and I couldn't find one, if there is, I apologise and could someone please post the link.
Are you attending a large celebration?
Would you rather celebrate with friends or family?
In general, what are you going to do to celebrate?
I just wanted to see if it was normal for a person to get their results, chat for a bit with friends and then go home? Which is what I am considering at the moment.
On results day of last year (I was in year 10), my friends and I just hung out at school for a bit and then some of us went to someone's house. I know year 10 results weren't that significant, but looking back I think I would have preferred to go home and celebrate with my family.
My friends are probably all more intelligent than I am, plus I am a shy person, so sometimes in large gatherings I would prefer just to go home, also it ends up being a one man (or woman show). Additionally my best friend unfortunately is visiting her family in Germany during the 23rd, so we won't be able to see each other
Good luck for results day, and the future.
This year I dunno what I'll do. I'd rather not organise anything and then find my results aren't quite what I expected

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?I like your thinking. I'll probably do something similar.(Original post by cyfer)
Collect my results.
If they are good, remind myself that it is only the beginning and I am yet nothing.
If they are bad, strive to be better. -
Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?
For AS I just got them, hung around chatting for about an hour, and then went to town and got on it nice and early, and just got drunk all day and night.
This year if they are bad I'm going to get home asap, and get battered, and if they're good, I'll probably hang around for a while, and then go out and get battered.

haha I like your style.(Original post by MsAaliyah)

Yes I agree. All of my friends don't think about stuff like that as they all get A*s. Plus I'm the oldest sibling, so my mother wants to know what I've got ASAP.(Original post by Junaid96)

Re: What are you doing to celebrate results day?Yeah my parents waited in the car whilst I opened the envelope of death in school. Then I made the long walk of shame out to the car park, handed them the envelope, and sat quietly in the back seat(Original post by Worms)
