    Annoying problem with Google Chrome
When I scroll up and down with my laptop's trackpad on google chrome, the movement of the webpage isn't smooth, like it would move 2-4 lines at a time. Whereas on Firefox and internet explorer 9 I have no such problem with scrolling on a webpage, its very smooth. I really don't want to change browsers because chrome is the fastest for me out of those three.

Is there a fix for this and are there anyone else who experiences this as well?

Try navigating to chrome://flags and enabling the smooth scrolling flag.

    chrome://flags

    ^ what is that?

also, I typed the link into the address bar and I get taken to a page which has this message at the top:

    Careful, these experiments may bite
WARNING These experimental features may change, break, or disappear at any time. We make absolutely no guarantees about what may happen if you turn one of these experiments on, and your browser may even spontaneously combust. Jokes aside, your browser may delete all your data, or your security and privacy could be compromised in unexpected ways. Any experiments you enable will be enabled for all users of this browser. Please proceed with caution.

    It's a warning?

Just scroll down and look for the option to enable smooth scrolling. Either that or install a plugin like this.

it just seems weird to me, what do they mean these are experiments? and that ''your browser may delete all your data, or your security and privacy could be compromised in unexpected ways. Any experiments you enable will be enabled for all users of this browser. Please proceed with caution.''

Anything with the chrome:// protocol is pointing directly to Chrome itself. It's used to change the settings of your browser.

They say they're experimental because they are hidden options which can potential cause problems with the browser.

I'm just a little concerned that I have to allow it to have access my my browsing data, etc.

I've never downloaded an browser extension/plug-in, so I'mn not really sure of this is normal or not.

Don't worry about that message- it has appeared on EVERY extension I have installed. Besides, it has 97170 users and 837 ratings (with an average at 4.5/5) so I'm sure it is very safe to download.

If you wish to uninstall it afterwards, or change its settings, then click on the spanner icon, then click tools, then click extensions and it should say "options" below the extension or if you wish to remove it, then click on the dustbin icon.
