    Jobseekers JSA PAYMENTS???
Shouldnt sign in be every other 11th day, in order for the money to reach the account in the right time. ( every 14th day)?

Now you sign in every 14th day, and payment reaches your account every 17th or 18th day, (if you dont use postgiro), wich pays you earlier

This means that JSA claimers have to make their money last for more days every month, in other words, an adult have to live on less than the 71£ that he or she is entiteld to.
Could someone please inform me why this is, Best Regards

Who said you're 'entitled' to £71 a week. Source?
Presumably payments amount to less than £71 a week as the public is generally unenthusiastic about paying taxation to fund social welfare payments, hence they are kept rather low.

Pretty sure that how it has been for some time. When I claimed in 2006 I signed on every 14 days, and it took 3 days or so to reach my account. As for your question, I'm not sure exactly why it is like this, but that's how it was for me.

    Edit: 'signed' not 'singed' lol

The personal allowance for a single person over the age of 25 is £71. A quick google search of benefit rates, or check of Direct Gov, will verify this.

This is because the government feels £71 is sufficient to cover living costs for someone over the age of 25 (food and blls - Housing Benefit/Local Housing Allowance exists for rent). The personal allowance increases every year according to inflation.

Those claiming income based job seekers allowance may also be entitled to additional premiums (e.g. disability and severe disability premium) which can add a further £15 to £50 a week on top of the £71. However, only certain categories of people are entitled to these.

To the OP, I don't really understand your question. You still receive the money once a fortnight and this equates to £71 a week. You should have money left from your previous installment for the days between signing on and your next installment being paid?

Well, no- because if you have to sign every two weeks, say on Tuesday, and then you get paid on the Friday, you'll sign on again in two weeks time, on the Tuesday of that week, and get paid again on the Friday of that week....fourteen days after you last got "paid"

I don't get this. I used to sign on Thursdays and got my money on Tuesdays. The money would have to last me a fortnight - when I would then get paid.

I sign in on Thursdays, and get my money on Thuesday, but i used to get my money on Friday or Sat when i had post giro.

Why is the money supposed to last you longer when you use bankaccount, or when u sign on days that are followed by non bankdays " eg Thursday or Friday"

    regards

It's not meant to last you longer.

Your logic is completely flawed. All it means is that you wait an extra 3 days to start with but only to start with. Yes you sign on every 14 days and you have to wait 3 days for the money to go into your account but then that payment day will be every 14 days after that, you'll just sign on 3 days earlier. Being paid by bank doesn't mean that it has to last you longer, you just get it sooner but it's still 14 days between each payment so the money still has to last the same amount of time.
