Getting new laptop choice of 2
Hi so my dell finally gave the ghost and am either going to get the

    Hp envy sleekbook 6z

    Or the ultrabook 6t

The only differance is that sleekbook as an amd processor what i want to know is is the sleekbook all that bad and how would it compare to my old dell 1525 as that was just powerful enough to keep up with my needs most of the time
    sometimes not

I am open to sugestions of other machines

Was looking to buy a sleekbook too, until i read more on AMDs and intels.... AMD as a processor is quite bad compared to intel... thats why the sleekbook "ultrabook" is selling at a cheaper price to other real ultrabooks. Have a look at samsung series 5 14inch. Will be getting that tomorrow

Intel are pretty good, the thing about AMD's Ax-xxxx system is that it's pretty good when it comes to the dual cpu and gpu system.

Also what are you going to use this laptop for?

press quote than reply so people know you've replied.

I'm guessing at least 6 gb of ram than and an i5?
But whats the point of an ultrabook? the specs are more expensive as you trade it for portability.

suggest looking at ebuyer, dabs, saveonlaptops and laptopsdirect................... ..as currys and the likes are to be fair kind of rip-offs. Plus you should wait till august for a summer sale, you can currently pick a 3rd gen i5 with 6gb of ram fromlenovo for around £470 http://www.ebuyer.com/391222-lenovo-...laptop-maagnuk

Currently Lenovo are the most reliable based on some recent research in the states.................it's upto you to be honest, but your going cheap than you can get an i3 for £330 the Lenovo B570 http://www.ebuyer.com/351922-lenovo-b570-laptop-n2f25uk

Nope that's pretty good for your needs, you can get an i7 for £30 more but that is overkill.
Remember this is not for gaming

If i were gunna get the i7 would there be any advantage ie quicker data transfure even better film playing weather streaming or downloaded quicher internet (i know this is mainly based on internet speed)

That would make the 30 quid worth it

    Thanks

i7 would be better at intense programs, streaming and downloading is solely down to the internet speed.
