I'm thinking of friday because it will be the quietest day, saturday and sunday will be so busy and I'd hate to be the last one to move in. -

Re: When is freshers?
Regarding freshers, I know you can buy them wristbands, but are they essential to have? I've looked on the union website, to see all the parties, and it says it's £3 entry (suppose that's without the wristband)... I mean, do people go to every party hence they get a wristband?
I'm not sure whether to buy one, or leave it. Think they are about £30. -
Re: When is freshers?Wouldn't bother. Get into your halls, and go out as group for a few nights - wherever you end up going you go, planning ahead for clubbing is a stupid idea(Original post by Beatlemania)

Re: When is freshers?
i've been looking at the events on the wristband and they are all at the union bar, kind of disappointing. in other cities the wristband usually takes you around different clubs in the city.
also 8 pounds worth of events are quiz nights and comedy nights which i won't want to go to.
some events look ok like the beach party and uv paint but it's a pretty crap wristband by the looks of it, whos going to wanna go the same club for 2 weeks? not many, especially in a place like Manchester which has tons of nightlife. -
Re: When is freshers?Totally agree with this. Exactly why I haven't bothered getting one, just thought I'd ask the question.(Original post by davey2100)

I probably won't go to everything anyway, and it says without wristband entry is £3 so I'll just pay on the door. -
Re: When is freshers? This is true, plus the welcome party.. Are you not getting one of those wristbands then? I don't really fancy getting one, but I don't want to turn up to the halls and notice I'm the only person without one? :/(Original post by Hayley2016)
I cant wait for the UV paint party...probably wont go to them all but the UV paint party looks amazing! Can go elsewhere in Manchester every night of the week! :-) -
