Re: Bucket List Ideas?I have a feeling this is already a film plot... although I can't remember what it's called...(Original post by _Shmiley)
I'm writing a book and long story short (not letting anyone steal my idea
) one of the characters dies and someone finds their bucket list, and tries to do everything on the list for them, so I'm looking for ideas to put on their bucket list.

Re: Bucket List Ideas?
Here's a few of mine:
- Drive a vintage British sports car (that it's British is very important) through the British countryside, in full, traditional driving gear; goggles, gloves, boots, and the ivory suitings that all come with it. I'd be laughing maniacally whilst doing it, too, and considering the fact that there would be a high likelihood of me fatally crashing, I'd aim to do this after completing the other things.
- Achieve fluency in another language. I want this to be French. I'm a good speaker of the tongue as it is, though when considering the command I have of my mother tongue, I'm an illiterate doofus in comparison. I'm a writer, so having the same command of the language so as to be able to write books in it would be the goal.
- Publish my novel (or a subsequent novel) via traditional publishing. A gargantuan task, no doubt, though I'm already published, so definitely see it as feasible.
- Make a living through my writing. I wouldn't mind whether that'd entail barely scraping by on ten thousand a year, or authoring several books and becoming quite wealthy; it'd be all the same to me.
- Own a small house or apartment in a foreign country. Again, I'd like this to be France, though Italy, Spain or perhaps even the United States would be amazing.Last edited by philistine; 31-07-2012 at 21:15. -
Re: Bucket List Ideas? You wouldn't be referring to 'The Bucket List' by any chance..? The term did come from there.(Original post by PhoenixFortune)

Re: Bucket List Ideas? She could add an element of comedy in there. For example, the bucket list can say "get married to this guy" and now the person who finds the bucket list has to get married to the said guy. It would be even more funny if the person who finds the list is a man. The book has so many possibilities LOL.(Original post by Fallen)
Get married to that persons brother/sister. Sorry, end of book. I hope! -

I think it was about two best friends, and one dies, leaving a will with a list of things she wants her friend to do on her behalf... -

I'm writing a book and long story short (not letting anyone steal my idea
) one of the characters dies and someone finds their bucket list, and tries to do everything on the list for them, so I'm looking for ideas to put on their bucket list.
the son goes through the bucket list, but one at the bottom says something like "complete K8", then you realise the person who died (the father) was a trained assassin with a secret mission room in the house, and the son goes to complete K8 for his father after finding a journal of all the people he killed, then K8 happens to be the fathers long lost son (sons brother) after meeting him, but then the long lost son says to the son that the father was an ex FBI agent who fell ill and was kicked off of the FBI, then teamed with rebel group to destroy the president. He then sees that the second part of K8 was to kill the president by intricate plans. A bomb already placed in a prison is set to shoot across country (like a rocket) and land onto the white house in 2 minutes from reading the message. All they have to do is fire the propeller from button. either prisoners or president die, they let prisoners die. third part of K8 ; Then video plays saying dad knew two brothers would meet up and do the right thing. Then he says there is key inside one brothers liver and the other brother had to get it out, otherwise an FBI hacked nuclear weapon would release on russia, starting war. He stops it all, kills his brother, and then his dead father (via the video in mission room) tells him hes now a qualified trained killer, and that a group of killers were watching his every move and now hire him.
I watch a lot of movies and have a crazy imagination

Re: Bucket List Ideas? If you took the idea from a film it is copyrighted.(Original post by _Shmiley)
Crap. I'm only planning to put it up as an ebook for a bit of money on the side anyway
