    Not sure what to study?!
Going to start A2 in September and carrying on Maths, Chem and Bio. What can I go into? I understand there are loads of jobs, but ideally I want to go into something that will be in demand or at least not too difficult to get employed. Intellectually, I'm rather average so medicine or dentistry is out the question.
Careers that I have given consideration:
Chemical engineering, Radiology, Pharmacy, Biomed, Biological Sciences.

Any help whatsoever will be appreciated,
    Zayn.

    Edit: Radiography*

dont get radiology mixed up with radiography, radiologists are specialised doctors whereas radiographers arent doctors. Im doing a radiography degree at the minute and i really like it, you would enjoy it if you are a caring person who also isnt afraid of hard work (you dont get much holiday). any questions feel free to ask

As one person said if you want to be a Radiologist then you have to study Medicine.

Those subjects will keep your options open.

Rather thn shoot yourself down at least try hard and get good grades in which case you could still do Medicine or Dentistry.

i'm not certain but i think there is quite some demand in petroleum engineering, and they get paid quite a bit according to the websites i've seen. BUT, i hear that it isn't exactly the best profession for women - as they may lose out on experience if they chose to have kids but your a guy so its fine

    others include:

    optometry
    vet science
    forensic science

I like the careers I've mentioned, but there's nothing I have a real passion for. Think I'd be happy with most of them.

Thanks, but I despise Economics. Dropping it in second year. I think actuary would involve the side of math I don't like; statistics. I'm more of a Core Math person.

Always possible to form a real passion. Could google stuff at the same time as getting replies on here.

Think it's best when you find a career you really feel for... Feel less like work and more fun. Productivity could be better, and you could really shine with it

Your GCSEs may just meet the bare minimum required, you'd need to check. if you got at least AAA at A-level if not A*AA or better then you'd be able to argue a case that you were a late academic developer which some tutors do look favorably upon.

You could also consider applying via a foundation programme Medicine course or doing an Access course? Also some Medical Schools accept Open Uni credits so you could look into that. The options are there it just depends which route you want to go down.

Hmmm, didn't know that. Sorry but foundation year is out the question, no matter what course I do. What do you mean by Open Uni credits?
