I can't get these thoughts out of my head, I don't know what to do.
I'm so confused. I've been worrying quite a lot for a couple of months now, just stuff like when my Mum goes out I'll worry she won't come back. And recently I watched this documentary called "Ruby Wax's mad confessions" and now I can't seem to get that out of my head.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with me. I just want all this to stop. All the worrying all the time.

Please can someone help me out.

Hi , It sounds like your anxiety levels have really increased?

Try not to panic, anxiety is a normal emotion and can go down, just as it can go up.
Think about why you are worried? You mentioned worrying about your mum not coming back when she goes out, is that every time she goes out? or only at certain times. Has something perhaps happened to her in the past? or someone else close to you that can explain the worry.
Did something happen a couple of months ago? that started to make you feel anxious?

Also think about whether there is anything else that has been making you worry, are these things related...
If you can identify the situations that make you anxious and what it is that worries you about the situation then you may be able to come up with ways of thinking about things differently or doing things slightly differently that can make the situation seem less worrying (Counselling could really help with that, free counselling can be arranged through seeing your GP or if you're in education your school, college, uni etc will likely have a counsellor).

Though sometimes our emotions can change without anything much seeming to happen, in which case it could be changes in hormones etc - if you feel as though nothing has happened to make you start worrying and things don't improve it could be good to go to the doctors, as they will be able to give you an anxiety levels test and check your blood to see if the anxiety is just down to psychological reasons or not.

Breathing exercises can also be really useful in lowering anxiety.

Hope things feel better for you,
I've been through a similar thing so if you want to talk more in depth etc, you can pm me.

    xx
