Next Steps After the UCAS
The UCAS says that I have been accepted at the University of Manchester and it also adds the fact that I should get a mail soon in order to confirm the unconditional offer.
How much time is this process long? I got the notification from UCAS a week ago.
Further, I accepted an offer from Dalton Ellis, how is it for you? -
Re: Next Steps After the UCASManchester is pretty slow with administration, so it might take a while to come through. Don't worry though, if UCAS says that your offer is unconditional, then it's unconditional!(Original post by edo1493)

I didn't stay at Dalton Ellis, but it's a very nice place, quite historic looking. Very close to uni as well, so you'll be able to walk in every day. -
Re: Next Steps After the UCASAnd make sure to do it within 7 days of receiving that letter or risk losing your place.(Original post by Maerzin)
I don't think I got a mail from Manchester. I did, however, get a mail (by post) from UCAS. On that letter are directions on how to confirm your place at Manchester using a self-service system on the UoM website. -
Re: Next Steps After the UCASI think it's the confirmation letter that'll have the instructions. Which letter have you received so far?(Original post by edo1493)
I received a letter from UCAS but I don't think it said something about confirming the offer. I logged to the UCAS website and it says thar I am going to receive a confirmation letter shortly... -
Re: Next Steps After the UCAS
I stayed in Dalton for the past 2 years and can honestly say I really, really enjoyed it. I made a group of friends who I wouldn't change for the world. The social aspects, however, fall a bit short. Last year there was a lot of problems with the on-site bar which was only open occasionally to buy drinks but towards the end of the year it was used as a social site (there is a pool table and a stage where open mic nights are held.) The food has improved a lot over the past year, particularly the vegetarian options. The tutors were all lovely and the tutor of EWings, Kalle, really is a genuine and laid back guy who looks out for the students. There is a lot of open grass areas which are perfect for a sunny day and for a nice walk. There are also two libraries and a music room, however, if people use the drums it can be quite loud. The facilities in the kitchen are quite old and I wasn't very happy with them myself personally, as it took nearly an hour to cook a small amount of chips. However, this isn't a huge problem if you go to both meals a day. They also changed the meal times this year so we have breakfast and dinner on a Saturday and then on Sunday you have breakfast and brunch. It really is a nice place though
