    Gaining weight
So I'm a 19 year old male and im 6 stones! Yes I know very underweight.

Im trying to gain weight, I dont want simple answers such as eat more. I want to know which foods are high in calories. The highest you have ever seen.

I'm also very active, I walk ridiculous amounts day-to-day and dance a lot, should I cut down?

Also what else can I do to gain weight.

    Thanks in advance

although I'm kind of embarrassed of the fact that this is coming from mean girls. Aren't there like energy bar things that are produced purely for the purpose of being really high in calories and making people gain weight.

edit: woops I wrote lose instead of gain, maybe I should go to sleep

If you're active stop being lazy and research food yourself. Eat 2800 calories a day. Say 25% fat, 30% protein. rest carbs. Try to have as little sugar and salt as possible.

And add butter to everything u eat lol ... broccoli oh thats healthy... add some butter melted over it and yummy. Works with all veg imo. Its and easy way to get some more fat it cos it adds fat without a lot more food in turns of volume..

Also something to think about is if u don't use a muscle it will waste away so try to do more physical stuff the endless walking won't help.

Stuff like pasta .. lots of good carbs in that.
increase intake and try to make an effort to encourage your body to build muscle at the same time it will increase your appetite

Agreed. You need to see a professional, you're seriously underweight - unless you're about 4ft?

You could always try to build muscle mass with a high protein diet it will give you muscle definition and muscle is denser than fat so you can be heavy and still be slimish

Eat anything and everything, track your food progress on www.myfitnesspal.com
Drink lots of milk, gallon a day = 2400 calories
Buy total gainer & instant oats from www.myprotein.com
Whilst you're doing this go to the gym, research Starting Strength routine

carry this out and you'll soon see gains.
