Is it true that Indian girls are stereotyped as being ugly?
I’m not Indian but I was told this by someone on youtube. And this comment got like…40 thumbs ups. It was one of the top comments so this seemed like the general stereotype and not just the opinion of one person. Is it true? Because I was not aware of it AT ALL. Obviously I know every race has pretty and ugly women but apparently this is the general stereotype?
EDIT: guys what I'm asking is are you AWARE of this stereotype or did this comment surprise you as much as it did me? And also do you agree with it?Last edited by CastleRose47; 01-08-2012 at 03:58. -
Re: Is it true that Indian girls are stereotyped as being ugly?by everyone or just indians?(Original post by wenger16)
No its not true theres no such stereotype. However darker skinned indian girls are considered to be unattractive generally. -

there are a lot of super hot indian girls, and the ones who are not generally have the potential to be like that. As a whole, India is still a developing country and families don't have so much disposable income which could go towards cosmetics - girls in slum areas can't afford to even think about how they look really, but if they did, most of them would look really good.

Re: Is it true that Indian girls are stereotyped as being ugly?Lol this is so true.(Original post by TheBBQ)
I know lots of white and black guys who are after Indian girls, but can't get them, probably because of their parents wanting them to marry an Indian guy.
My only comeback is you'll never get any white girls

Re: Is it true that Indian girls are stereotyped as being ugly?
There's a lot of racism on youtube due to lack of censorship (not a bad thing - if you avoid a topic you don't solve it. TSR needs to take a leaf from their books).
It might be a stereotype, but it's definitely not a correct one in my opinion. STILL, I do believe that some people just don't find certain races/skin colours appealing and people have to come to terms with that, just like people might prefer brunettes to blondes etc. -
Re: Is it true that Indian girls are stereotyped as being ugly?
its depends on their perception of beauty ..alas ..many feel a gal attractive if she is modern ( in her dress but frget any 1 can easily dress up as they want lol).. and indian gals ..usually have diff dressing style .. but frankly if you consider the face ..definitely they are the most beautiful
And stop comparing beauty based on region or religion... all gals are beautiful in one or the other way

Re: Is it true that Indian girls are stereotyped as being ugly?
Priyanka Chopra has to be one of the best looking chicks on the planet.
EDIT: I think people think that of Indian Girls, because they don't dress in slutty clothes to make them look sexier, generally they wear clothes to cover up their bodies. And I don't need to explain to you how men think with their penis.Last edited by pbsjohnz; 01-08-2012 at 08:43.
That's strange because I think that a lot of them are very beautiful looking.
