Oh, and does anyone have any information about V block? What sort of size are the rooms and kitchens?

Got my accomodation a few minutes ago, I'm in Hawthorns V as well, flat 30. I know I'm in a flat of four, I guess all of V block is the same. Not sure on the size of the rooms, but I think the kitchen will be a decent size because there's not too many people.

Isn't catered where you get money on your Keele card you can only spend on food? And then there are a few different restaurants around campus you could go to so it wouldn't matter where you were?
I'm not sure, probably best email them and find out!

They've been sent out for people with unconditionals by post so you might just have to wait a few days

Hey guys, I've got Hawthorns too. But how are you planning to get to your 9 o'clock lectures? Apparently, the center of Campus is around 20-25 mins walk away. Are you planning to go by car/ use a bus/ cycle?? I've got no idea how the buses work...

I live a 40 minute walk from everywhere at the moment so I'll probably just get up early to get there. Buses around campus are free with your Keele Card I think so it's just a case of looking at time tables and hoping they're reliable.
Not sure about taking my bike to uni, depends how secure it would be and where I could leave it when I'm in lectures.

My thoughts exactly when i started. But at 8.30am on a cold, damp, wet morning, the bus is so much more appealing. I always walked home though

Whoa!! You can get to the Med School from Hawthorns that quick by walk??? I looked it up on google maps and it looked like a bit of a trek!!
