Got my Accommodation!

Re: Got my Accommodation!Ick, hadn't thought of that.(Original post by rumandraisin)
My thoughts exactly when i started. But at 8.30am on a cold, damp, wet morning, the bus is so much more appealing. I always walked home though
Are the buses regular and reliable? -
Re: Got my Accommodation!Oh ok, I guess I'll work it out when I get there. I'm someone who is early for everything so I'd end up leaving plenty of time for getting to lectures anyway(Original post by rumandraisin)
Erm in the morning yeh they are reliable ish. But in general the 25 is a bit hit and miss. Supposed to be like every 10mins but then sometimes they wont come for 20 minutes then 2 or 3 turn up at the same time

Re: Got my Accommodation!Yes, here is the web link:(Original post by tamimi)
Quick question guys. Are there bike-shed facilities in Keele halls?

Re: Got my Accommodation!Thank you.(Original post by LaShy)
Yes, here is the web link:
http://www.keele.ac.uk/studyatkeele/...icyclestorage/
! Couldn't find it. The Keele website is a bit, hectic in terms of structure.

Re: Got my Accommodation!Yeah, they sort out people when they know they are definitely coming to Keele so once you confirm your place on results day they'll sort you(Original post by beck3009)
Is the accommodation just for people with unconditional offers at the moment? I'm assuming then that everyone with conditional offers (if we get in) will hear about accommodation after Results Day?

Re: Got my Accommodation! In V Block there are four rooms per flat. They aren't huge, but they are an okay size, and the kitchens are a good size, much better than the ones in the big blocks and plenty of room for the number of people using it.(Original post by megan.c)
I'm in Hawthorns V block, flat 36!
Have any other unconditional people got their offers yet? I want to find out who I'm living with!
Oh, and does anyone have any information about V block? What sort of size are the rooms and kitchens?
I think they are 3/4 or small double beds.(Original post by TeamPrincess)
Just got mine in the post yesterday, holly cross! I'm so excited to start now
. One question I keep reading different things, does anyone know if Holly Cross beds are single or double? I need to start buying bedding
The buses are regular, and you get free on campus travel with your Keele Card. I have relied on them all year and it was no problem.(Original post by pi=3)
Hey guys, I've got Hawthorns too. But how are you planning to get to your 9 o'clock lectures? Apparently, the center of Campus is around 20-25 mins walk away. Are you planning to go by car/ use a bus/ cycle?? I've got no idea how the buses work...

Re: Got my Accommodation! Thanks! There is so little information anywhere about them so it was looking like it would be a complete surprise when I turned up(Original post by ~ Purple Rose ~)

Re: Got my Accommodation!O Block has somewhere in the region of 15 rooms, and a big kitchen. It is in a two-storey house which is one of a few set around a patch of grass near the common room and laundrette.(Original post by Luke0011)
Hey everyone. Does anyone know what Hawthorns O block is like? What are the rooms/kitchens like?
Just wondering
Thanks!

Re: Got my Accommodation!I stayed in that block in my 3rd year. We were upstairs and the freshers were downstairs. All the freshers were doubled up so had to share for at least a few weeks but the rooms are a good size and the kitchen has a big table so is big enough for people to eat together and socialise in. It is definitely one of the best blocks in Hawthorns in terms of rooms and space and is close to Templar Bar and the shop! I lived in L Block Hawthorns in my first year and that is a different story! Happy to answer any more Hawthorns related questions!(Original post by Luke0011)
