I've been wondering, do you guys think that girls with "brown" skin suit red lipstick?

EDIT: The only reason some of the girls in the different categories seem to share the same skin colour is because of lighting.

You put Chanel Iman in the 'dark' section and Jourdan Dunn in the light? Wut?

Anyway everyone suits red lipstick, most of the ladies you posted looked great and the ones that didn't just weren't wearing quite the right shade. Fourth picture down from the top had lipstick that was just a touch too brown for her face, made her look quite dated (80s).

because in those pics they look lighter/darker so i was a little confused as to where i should put them.

Tbh I agree with you, but i've heard lots of people claim the opposite.

woahh!!! photo overload lol. I think that red lips look best on women with full lips who are very light skinned. I think the desired effect works best on pale skin. The colour stands out and draws attention to the lips and is quite sexy!!! Red lips draws attention to the lips so it'll only be a good idea on fuller lips as otherwise it makes thin lips look even thinner. On the subject of complexion, beign asian, I am in between fair and dark complexion and I've tried red lips and it doesn't complement my skin tone at all despite the fact that I have very full lips. So I avoid it and tend to go for a brown based colour or maroons.



Scarlett Johansson I think can pull off red lips well!!!

I think it looks great on them all. Some shades can be a little too harsh, but I think that's more to do with the overall look rather than complexion alone.

I'm asian as well. . And around beyonce/rihanna's shade in terms of colour and just bought red lipsick. I think it suits me, but i usually hear people say that they think it looks awful on darker women. :/ But yes very pale skin and red lips like the girl in my sig (click) is very striking.

I said yes to both - but within reason. I think some facial types don't suit red lips, and it depends on teeth colour too. But generally, I think glossy, red lips are very glamorous and sexy.

Red lipstick is nice on full lips and less rounder faces imo.

Well it is hard to say all those women are attractive regardless of what lipstick they wear, you should try to compare them with red to without red and see if the attractiveness increases or decreases.

I would say its entirely dependant on the overall look. Different shades of red work better of different girls but as a colour.

I guess it depends on the shade of red and the shade of skin colour too. Darker reds works better on darker skin I've found. Whereas bright red I think clashes more with asian skin. But there are aunts in my family who think that red is the only shade of lipstick that exists and so I've seen some horrible clashes where they haven't really tried it out to see if it works and have just bought it Is the first pic adriana lima? that woman looks so sexy with red lips!!!!

You have to go with the right undertone depending on your skin and it's undertones imo

I know what you mean, my mum does it. *facepalm* With me maroon/brown shades look horrfific, so pinkish/reddish/peachy colours are the only colours i can use.
