Personally I think any skintone can wear any colour - it's just finding the "right" one. But yes - red lips definitely look amazing on all skin tones, just find one that suits you!

I think it depends a lot on the person, I prefer on pale skin but I remember Kelly Rowland rocking the red and it also looked great.

    Katy Perry.

I think it can look great on most people but it's very important to get the right shade for your skin tone.
Also, you need a little confidence to pull it off because it is a pretty bold look.

I don't personally like bright red lip-stick on a day-to-day basis on most people. I think a slight berry-red tint looks great, but full on red lips generally just seem a bit too much for everyday wear for most women.

That said, some women look great in it, especially if it forms the basis of their style, a la Dita Von tesse.

You didn't post any light complexions. Bright red lips look great, just not on pale white people, in my opinion. Anyone with a tan, or a dark skin, and it looks great.

because i was talking about brown skin, since most people say that they don't like it on darker skin. :dontknow: nothing personal.

I don't think any of those girls have a typically light complexion, although I do think red lipstick looks great on both light and dark and medium skin. I think it depends more on the type of face and lip shape to be honest as well as the occasion.

Light complexions I have seen with red lipstick on are: Scarlett Johansen, Kate Beckinsale and Angelina Jolie, all beautiful.

I don't think Rihanna suits red lipstick.

Oh I see. Maybe you should've worded it differently and put olive/light brown in your original post, as quite a few posters are confused as to why there are no light complexions.

I'm sorry but, why should you choose what you wear depending on skin colour.
Everything goes with your skin colour, it's not a barrier to anything.

Red lips look good on dark girls and pale girls.

EDIT: I'm saying the same thing as everyone else, yet I get the negs! Thankyou..soo..much :cry2:
