I'm completely new to this and don't know what the hell I am doing, but I've got my email through today from York St John University informing me on what accommodation I've been allocated to start in September I know everyone receives their emails at different times but if anyone has got theirs and they're in The Grange, 204 St Mary's House I'd be happy if you could let me know. I'm interested to find out who I'll be living with I'm studying English Language and Linguistics, so if you're going to YSJ and you're studying English Language then also let me know

I've been given the Grange, but I'm in '103 Grange House Room 2' and I'm not really sure what that means haha. I'm studying English Language as well though

I went on a previous open day and st marys wasn't shown on the tour bit annoying as i don't know what my accommodation is going to look like.

Lang is a group of houses, so there will only be about 30 people max. in them. It mighttt be difficult to find people. There are people on the YSJ freshers fb group though.

St Mary's and Grange house are both in the big old building on the Grange. They're laid out like a flat, so a corridor with doors coming off it. There is a bath (lucky you) in the bathroom. The bedrooms are prettyyy big. There are also some sofas to sit on in the kitchen/dining area.

You'll be on the first floor of Grange House (which is a flat-like building), in room 2. See description of St marys above for idea of how it will be. Some of the flats in Grange house are small though, with some holding only three people.

Ah ok, it did look fairly small compared to the other sites in The Grange when I had a look on Google maps. Thanks though

Sorite. I know your pain, I lived in Muir house in first year. It was the smallest group of houses so could find literally nobody!
