    This sort of misses the point.

    There are plenty of state-funded schools that are identical to private schools in the outcomes they produce. The real test would be to ask how many people went to a school that has a high intake of disadvantaged children, like the one I attended for seven years. Most children in the UK (or maybe a bit less than half) go to such schools.

    Also: homeschooling is private education.
