His training will be focused on him peaking at the Olympics! no point in him peaking when it doesn't matter.
The 95% thing is just to take the pressure off.

Considering at the last Olympics he was able to jog home to set a new world record, I'm confident he'll be able to win again this time around.

And losing his recent races to his rivals is also to just take the pressure off? :hmmm:

If anyone can handle immense pressure, it's Usain Bolt. He won't be thinking about that.

Past his best, but still an incredible athlete that is likely to win gold at this Olympics.

I'm almost certain he is past his best. He hasn't even gotten close to 9.58 and he seems to always put full effort in now.

Don't get me wrong, he's still the favourite for gold, but he wont be able to show off at the end and I can't see him breaking the world record.

Surprised about the poll results to be honest... I think some people have read it as 'Will Usain Bolt win?'

He lost because he wasn't at full fitness, his training after the Jamaican trials will have improved his fitness.

If anyone can handle the pressure its Bolt but the amount of pressure he is under and expectation he has to live up to is insane. I know if I was him, Id want to reduce the pressure.

In terms of pure talent, he is THE best. Explained quite clearly by Michael Johnson's expression when watching Bolt's technique when smashing the 200m to 19.19 in Berlin. But as nature often does, he is balanced, not by his arrogance as some remark, but rather a lack of a concrete drive, compared to someone like Tyson Gay.

But hey, who am I to say, this guy is a living legend and he may well break the record again.

I don't think Bolt still has the snap twich-knee start that he worked so hard to perfect for Beijing. Being a tall-ish sprinter myself, I don't foresee Bolt getting Gold in the 100m, unless he has been hiding some serious start form. Blake's cadence also looks so brilliant. So we're guaranteed to see some great sprinting from the winner. It's worth noting the competition this time around is much more formidable than it was in Beijing... and with the "new" false start rule... who knows what can happen.

(If Bolt can recover his start then he can break the world record for 100 and 200 again, I'm just doubtful as to whether he has it for these Olympics).
I reckon he has a good chance of running the 200m in under 19 seconds, which will definitely get him a gold...however, in the 100m, he looks very beatable....he has more time to develop his speed in the 200m, I just think 200m suits him more

He's not past his best, he's just struggled with injuries in the last year or so. A fit Bolt absolutely blitzes the field.

Gay ran a 10.01 in the US trials, hardly good is it?

    I believe:

    Bolt
    Blake
    Asafa Powell.

I initially went for Powell, but then changed my mind because Gay has been working extremely hard recently to achieve a medal, he's also the second fastest man alive...I think he'll get a sub-9.8 time. His pb is 9.68 I think, so asuming no injuries, he has a good chance of getting close to 9.70

I think this is bang on. Bolt's a showman - he's saving himself for the big stage.

STOP HATING! We shall see in the finals who is going to win this 100m race...

I've got my money on Usain and all I know for fact is that:

A- The winner will be under 10 seconds.
B- Jamaica is going to win a medal nevertheless.
