Ted

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

I watched this last night and it was brilliant, very racist and rude, but what do you expect from Seth MacFarlane? Great laugh though.

Horrible and Rubbish movie. Language is crap, associating a teddy bear with human perverse emotions????????? Seriously, its a toy for kids, not a .... Of course, stupid teenagers like you who live to drink and gamble, will certainly enjoy it. Idiots.

Went to see this with my best friend (neither of us are "stupid teenagers who live to drink and gamble" as observed above...) And we found it hilarious. Somehow they manage to keep it just within the margins of funny while being outrageous as well. The ending was a bit weird but I enjoyed it personally

This was massively disappointing and I love Family Guy.
Mila Kunis being so damn fine saved it in parts.
    Spoiler:
    Show
The jokes were so hit and miss it was unreal. I was really cringing at some parts like the Thunder Buddies bit that was just no.
Flash Gordon bits were way too long and just why?
Cheesy cheesy cheesy. Predicted the movie 10 minutes in: Guy acts like a prick with Ted - Loses his girlfriend, down and out - Realises he loves her etc. Ted makes everything better - Happily ever after. Kunis's line at the end what was it? '"It was for my life" or something when she saves Ted :facepalm2:

I probably am coming across as a bit of a hipster ****, and I did find it really funny in some parts - it certainly isn't a bad comedy.
Just not as good as I had hoped.

I went to see this last night and it was great! If you're needing a good laugh then this is the film to see. I actually heard some people sob near to the end, but you'll sure be in hysterics by the end!
I'll wait till results day to watch it then.

There were some bits that were just not funny. Overall it's a decent comedy but don't expect too much. And what's also annoying is that Ted sounds exactly like Peter griffin which is distracting.

    I've written a review here:

I thought it was good, but not great. Definitely watchable. I'd think twice before taking a non-Family Guy fan with me to see it though. I don't feel any desire to see it again soon.

Why are people saying Ted sounds like Peter Griffin? From the trailers, he's got Brian Griffin's exact voice.

Anywayyy, seeing this on wednesday - can't wait!

Am I the only one that doesn't find this film looks very appealing. That trailer made the film look like a standard 6/10 film and if it's showing the best bits -.- the film must suck.

I love family guy, but I think Seth should stick to that.

Nope, its peter griffin. He even mentions in the movie that he sounds like him. But when he's insulting someone or making a a joke it changes into stewie. There are hints in his voice throughout of most the family guy characters.

Not really, the current ending is far too cliche.

Enjoyed it Quite a few jokes made for american audiences, and wasn't that fussed about the ending (not the storyline ending, the pre-credits bit) but on the whole it had me laughing throughout most of it :gthumb:

I found it disappointing, the trailer hypes the comedy up so much! When there's more romance in it than Ted's wild behaviour. Should've been a TV series instead...
