    TSR Longboarding !
Having finished my GCSE's this year around may, there has been such an abundance of spare time ! So, i decided to give in to a new hobby of longboarding ! To begin with i had the impression that longboarding is for the stereotypical 'skater' 'street kid' type. However, some of the most academic people in my year use it as a way to relax.

i bought a surfboard to go surfing at my local beach. This activity really helped me relax between exams and enjoy life between all the pressures school brings. I even remember going surfing the night before my history exam ! how crazy is that !!

Anyway, i bought a longboard and discovered the freedom and relaxation it brings. Its a lifestyle ! For 2 years of GCSE's i was stressed and focused on academics and sport. Now i can just chill with some reggae music on, friends, a cocktail and a surfboard/ longboard.

I really enjoy life at the moment and will need to get down and working again for A levels, which will be hard !

PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU ALSO LIKE LONGBOARDING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha, Manchester is quite bad sorry =P

I have a Switchblade so I can't really do any tricks...it's heavy as ****! I'm trying to get into freeriding. I'm trying to learn to slide but it's so hard. I can't break traction no matter what I do =.= I have the perfect setup for sliding as well =.=

Newcastle have a lot of hills as well but it's too dangerous. They're all congested and the road sucks with random holes everywhere.

Funny enough I was gonna buy a switchblade but was out of stock. So got a Tantien. Same here only problem is staying on the board after the slide. Could be your wheels how long you had them for?? Also I find decent amount of speed slighlt hilly roads help. twisting with your hips to initiate it

Well after a few slides on a gravelly surface I managed to break my wheels in! I can initiate slides now. The next step is staying on the board :P !

To be clear, are you guys talking about a longboard as in surfing waves or a longboard as in the skateboard?

Cause I have a surf soc on here

Maybe instead of the switchblade you could try to get a tan tien and see if you can slide that, worked for a guy i know. And the roads in newcastle are great.

I Loooooove longboarding I live in Amsterdam and unfortunately we don't have many hills or whatever, I would love to slide through life more than I do now haha. Nevertheless I do longboard a lot, learning how to dance on it and even though I am happy with my Airflow Fuse, and the landyachtz evo, I'd love a Loaded Dervish Sama

    Nobody from Amsterdam in here???

I longboard, I started like 6 months back, but I did some skateboarding for like a year before that (mainly cruising, that's why I got a longboard). At the moment I'm practising 180 slides. And if you want good longboarding vids search for Original Skateboards (they longboard, even though they have 'skateboards' in their name) on youtube. They're a company that make longboards, clothes, videos etc.
