View on "Team GB" being British?
Regardless of the very few non English competitors, Team GB is being widely regarded (in Scotland, anyway) as Team England. What are your views on this?

Personally I think it'd be better for there to be a Scottish team as we have limited numbers of people in the Olympics (not sure the exact number, I only know of Chris Hoy and David Millar).

You're not very clever are you. Where is Michael Jamieson the Silver medal winner from? GLASGOW, well that's not Scotland or is it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jamieson

If there's not many Scottish athletes on team GB surely that means there's not many top Scottish athletes. Otherwise there would be more on the team?

If we work harder in the future maybe there can be more Scottish athletes, they athletes participating right now got their because they worked hard not because they were english. England has 50 million people and scotland has 5 million.

Team GB is GB to me, im from Scotland and I am very proud of them all.

+ I dont understand what you mean by scottish team? so a GB team and a scotland team? or an england, wales, scotland, n.ireland teams?

I did say that this was my opinion and that I didn't know the exact numbers.

As a joint Welshman and Briton, I'm very proud of Team GB.

I also think the not singing the anthem at the football is pathetic personally.

Nahh, I have nothing against the Scottish (well I do) but not this
If you want your own team I'm sure it would work well, but everyone has to go through the same qualifiers to get into the Olympics. So the Scottish team would surely consist of the same number of Scottish people in team GB?

I may be wrong. Not 100% on how you qualify for the Olympics

    Nah.

If there was a team Scotland they'd do pretty **** in the medals table, whereas I can support the whole of GB and they should be in the top 5.

Team GB chooses which athletes they send to the Olympics, so it's down to them on which nationality they choose lol, and what do you have against the Scottish?

Anyway England has a population of like 54 Million and Great Britain is 62 Million so it's pretty obvious why most of Team GB are from England.

I'd rather do **** as Scotland than be part of Team GB, purely because I am quite the Scottish nationalist and don't like the fact that we can't shine at the Olympics because Team GB choose majority English athletes.

The Scots just like to label anything anything British as 'English' and oppose it.

Team GB chooses through olympic trials not by nationality? if a scottish athlete comes 1st they will go? if an english athlete comes 1st they will go? The best of the best get chosen on their abilities o.o

England is like 87% of Great Britain's population -_- so it would be mostly English. It's basic Maths.
