Re: View on "Team GB" being British? It's my opinion that your opinions wrong.(Original post by Mess.)
I'm of the opinion that a completely seperate Scotland funding its own existence and its own sports and athletes would be laughable. If you believe my opinion to be wrong then please find me something that disproves it

Re: View on "Team GB" being British?I know! We shouldn't even be in Team England.(Original post by HDBrowne)

Re: View on "Team GB" being British?
Can't we take all the nationalist Scots ... no screw it all the Nationalist Britons, find a rocky outcrop of an island off the coast and let them all have that to keep and jealously guard from any outside influence, they can have a little competition to design themselves a new flag and they all get one free. And they can keep themselves pure and in 4 generations time all be related with 12 fingers on each hand and teeth growing out out of their ears...

Re: View on "Team GB" being British?Salmond, who happens to be the Leader of the SCOTTISH Government(Original post by Drewski)
It may well be, but his opinion is based on reality, whereas yours is based on Salmond's idiotic ramblings and insane optimism.

Re: View on "Team GB" being British?Well, if you will start getting petty about who is represented and to what degree, then for the team to be perfectly representative we should get rid of about six scottish athletes. Or, and it is just a thought, we could stop bitching and accept that the best athletes from the area are selected, regardless of which bit they were born in.(Original post by RobertAnthonySmith)
I know! We shouldn't even be in Team England. -
Re: View on "Team GB" being British? Are you comparing Nationalists to inbred people? Nice comparison, but not quite true. . .(Original post by cid)

Actually, no, that's unfair. The SNP are far funnier than the MRLP. -
Re: View on "Team GB" being British?(and Northern Ireland)(Original post by madders94)
I'm Welsh and British, and I'm so proud of Team GB!
I don't care where the athletes come from; they're representing us all. Any medals they get are medals for Great Britain
