Re: Mole: how does it appear to you? (Pic Included)If you're that worried then yes.(Original post by cgraham15)
Also, should I go to the doctors? -

If it's worrying you just go see your doctor, better than asking a bunch of students.
I went to the doctor's about a mole recently, got a referral to a specialist within a week which was pretty good. The specialist looked at the mole I was worried about but also checked me over very thoroughly for more. Not so fun.

If it's always been like that, you probably don't have anything to worry about.
I have lots of moles that are somewhat irregular, but they've always been that way. It's not necessarily a sign that it's in any way abnormal; it's what's normal for you that's important.
If you notice you have a new mole, or an old one has changed to become irregular, bigger, changes in colour etc, however, then it is most definitely worth getting it checked out. -
Re: Mole: how does it appear to you? (Pic Included)I've been burnt twice there before, but nothing major(Original post by Thorax)
Have you been abroad much, been sunburnt a lot? I have a similar looking mole on my arm, but the doc wasn't worried at all.
Things like this are worth getting checked out, but I wouldn't worry too much. -

I have one like that on my lower back, slightly raised as well. So long as it stays the same then you've nothing really to worry about. If it changes in any way like gets bigger, changes colour, more raised, sore to touch, then you should go to the doctor to check it out pretty sharpish. It's probably just a bog standard mole. If it worries you that much though then get it checked out, can't hurt to get it checked if it puts your mind at rest.
