How odd is this. Please help!!
So if you received a phone call one day before your job interview. How often does this happen?
What will this mean will the interview be easier than it seams? Since you only have one day to prepare or do all interviewers expect this from you?

Re: How odd is this. Please help!!
Yup. A TEACHING interview. They rang me on the Thursday asking if I could do the Monday, and I said no (cos I had another interview), so they said "can you come in tomorrow?". This was about 2pm on the Thursday, so I had less than 24 hours to do interview technique AND plan a lesson. It was a nightmare!

Re: How odd is this. Please help!!No, but rarely do I spend more then a day preparing for an interview, hence why I don't see the problem. How many hours were you intending on preparing for?(Original post by Umer786)
Have you ever been in this situation where you only have one day to prepare for the interview? -
At least 4 days.(Original post by M1011)

Re: How odd is this. Please help!!I can't comment on how rare it is - not enough experience. But consider this - why have they asked you in at such short notice? The clearing process will start soon, and until it does the departments can pick the students they want. They are also under pressure to fill their courses, and they may be worried that there will be more vacancies than students this year (that would depend on the subject), in which case you'd be in a good position (don't overplay it though).(Original post by Umer786)

Obviously, you'll have minimal time to prepare, but be sure that everyone who interviews you knows you had zero notice, so that they can make allowances. Don't assume that the interviewers will be fully familiar about that fact. -
Re: How odd is this. Please help!!What on earth is this interview for? 4 days prep? Jees I prepared for half my interviews on the train there..(Original post by Umer786)
At least 4 days.
This is a job interview, nothing to do with clearing.(Original post by Pastaferian)
