Re: What Sport Should I Try?Might give it a go over the summer, the local club's round the corner.(Original post by y gorau)
It'd be worth a crack. At the very least you'd get a good pre-season workout! -
Re: What Sport Should I Try?I was watching the gymnastics on the Olympics and my jaw hit the floor, doubt I could do any of that. Perhaps, if I'd started learning when I was younger. Sometimes I wish I had pushier parents(Original post by Tobia_s)
With the long torso & arms, and short legs; gymnastics or rowing may be good. Now you'll need to work on flexibility in your spine for gymnastics and some decent upper body strength (for both). Shorter legs will help you pull off those insane "body-fold" movements

Re: What Sport Should I Try?Haha starting early is especially true for gymnasts. Rowing still on the table then?(Original post by iamthestig)

Re: What Sport Should I Try?Good lad. Now get ready for the intense cardio fitness you're gonna be made to build and upper body strength training. Good luck(Original post by iamthestig)

Re: What Sport Should I Try?I'm considering rowing. My only experience of it is using the rowing machines at the gym and just from that I know it's absolutely knackering(Original post by iamthestig)
Yeah, I've emailed my local club
Tell me how it goes pal, I need to settle on a new sport myself, also thinking about swimming. Same age as you as well so don't let that hold you back, all it means is that you probably won't be competing in Olympics, but can still have a great time doing it.
