    Hello...
So, I'm new here... Um, not entirely sure what to say. I'm going to Glasgow Caledonian University this year to study Risk Management and I'm more nervous than I'd care to admit. Don't know anyone else who is going there, so it'd be good to meet some people, but university life in general just seems... scary. ._.

Anywho... yeah, new to this entire thing so please be nice. It'll probably take me a while to get used to this whole thing. :s-smilie:

    Hello there

I'm going to Glasgow Caledonian too, but to study optometry.
I am also very very nervous also and don't really know anyone either.

    Hey.
Ah, I'm glad to know I'm not the only nervous one out there, thought I might have just been really paranoid. Honestly though I don't think I've ever been so scared or nervous of something in my life!

Same here. My friends are all excited and I feel so awkward whilst saying "yeah me too" whilst inside I'm totally not ready and scared. Are you staying in halls or at home? I'm staying in halls! Scary!!!

Yeah, none of my friends are going to Caledonian, and they all seem much more optimistic than me about going to Uni in the first place. I'm not ready at all. D; I'm staying at home since I don't live too far from it which is quite good. (:

Aww lucky you can live at home. I could live at home but travelling would be a nuisance. What exactly are you worried about? I think I'm most worried about learning a new way to learn and making friends. Leaving my friends is going to be rather hard

hello i'm not going to that uni, but i am going in september. i'm so scared that my flatmates won't like me i think that's my biggest worry. as well as not 'fitting in'. i know that everyone is in the same position and i am so excited to go, i just have a nagging feeling it won't be as amazing as everyone makes out.
god that makes me sound so negative! i'm not i promise, just scared!

yeah! my friends are used to my weird sense of humour, but i'm scared people may take me the wrong way. i dont know. i'm sure all of this panic is going to be pointless once we've started. hopefully anyway!

Hm... now I'm thinking about it I don't really know, it's just that nervous feeling. D; I guess I'm most nervous about the same thing, making new friends, I mean at the start of Secondary school I was always sort of a loner but that was fine I guess, but Uni is just so much bigger. And I'm scared I'll just mess up something somehow.

Awesome, I've made a friend already! :^_^: That's a good point, though, and the fact we're doing completely different courses may complicate things. xD

Make it more interesting as we can bore - I mean engage each other in interesting conversation about the other's subject Or, we could chat about other stuff Remember we probrably haven't met any of the people there so there is a whole lotta stuff to learn about everyone so lots to talk about!
