A girl I know has just been told to come off her birth control because it's mucked up her hormones (she gained 4 stone). Worth asking the doctor about it, I had microgynon a couple of years ago which made me balloon but as soon as I came off it, the weight fell off again without any extra effort on my part. You've probably just taken badly to it!
Thanks, I'll make an appointment to discuss it. It's the only thing I can think of. I walk to and from college daily, tons of stairs, I don't drink alcohol very often (seriously once every few months). I don't buy junk food and all I drink is water and tea (no fizzy drinks etc). It's getting to the point where I almost just wanna say "Screw it, I'm stuck this size" even though I never used to be. :/

I'll definitely discuss it and see about coming off it. I suppose being single for 2yrs I haven't even "used" the birth control anyway lol.

When you see a fit into a size 8, do you have a good day. And when you fit into a size 12 do you have the grumpiest day.
    Oh absolutely.

    "OMG OMG it's an eight!"

    "Darling, it's a shoe..."

Oh lord, I was hoping to end up a size 8 but looks like I'd have to lose another 2 stone to get there

Well I'm pretty much a size 8 (as i stated above, sometimes a size 10 or 6 depending on shop!) but to be honest, a lot of it has to do with your bone structure/natural width. I'm very 'narrow' and have 'small bones'!! As in my hip width, etc, is more comparative to my 5'4" friends than other friends of my height. I have a friend who is my height (5'11) and would never be able to go below a size 12/14, due to her width/bones. I'm also an A cup boobs wise and have the smallest/flattest arse and no hips.... Swings & roundabouts.

    I'm 5"9, 125 pounds and a size 8.
Most clothes fit me, but I have long legs and a shorter torso, so sometimes I struggle with pants. Had to look forever before I found the right leather leggins.

    5'10, 8 stone, size 8 or 10.

I find it difficult to get clothes that fit properly because my arms are very long. I'm different sizes in basically every shop, if it's Primark I'm usually a 10, though some items have really weird sizes in there. River Island an 8, H&M a 10. In TK MAXX I never know because the sizes are so different depending on the brand, I have to try anything on before buying!

5'8", just over 10 stone and between a size 10 and 12. I have small boobs so can sometimes get away with an 8 on my top half.

Do you think you have to get larger sizes because you're taller? I'm wondering about this. I mean I'm 5'9, almost 11 stone and my hips are 38 inches. There seem to be loads of girls who are 5'8 and 10 stone online (like here, tumblr etc) who also have size 38 hips, I'm kind of worried that if I lose another stone I'll still have my size 12 hips and whether or not it's a height thing? can't think of another explanation :/
Whether your hips will go down depends on your bone structure and how wide your hip bone is naturally as some women have very wide hips. However 11st and 38 inches is not too bad.

As for me I'm 5ft 10 and weight 10st 10lb. My sizing varies quite a lot but I can wear anything from a size 6 to a size 12. I find it strange that some of the girls on here weigh a lot less than me but wear the same dress sizes as I do

I'm 5ft 8 and I'm at about 10st 7/8lbs at the moment but I'm drawing myself a new exercise plan targeting some problem areas, so really I should be 10st at the very least! I'm a 10/12 on the bottom and a 8/10/12/14 (I hate shopping) on the top depending on boobage.

You guys seem so thin! Ahaha. With my body type I'd look ill any less than 10st I think

I am 5'10 and 9.5st/133lbs, and I'm a size 10 on bottoms and a size 8 on top. Before I went to univeristy, I weighed half a stone lighter than I do now but I still wear the same clothes. As others have said, bone structure has a lot to do with it, a friend of mine was four inches shorter and weighed 9st/126lbs also but fit into size 6/8 bottoms, my thighs are very thin but I would never get clothes like that past my hips!

I can't tell if I have big hips or if they're just my fattiest part? I fit into some size 8 topshop tall jeans the other day, my legs/bum/arms all fit into size 8 or 10 but my hips are the anomaly yea I agree, lots of girls on here weigh heaps less than me but are similar sizes?! Very odd

So I presume you could fit into a size 8 topshop jeans but you weren't able to button them? If this is the case then you have a very wide hip bone and small legs and if you can see or feel your hip bone its unlikely it would get any smaller with weight loss as you have no fat left to lose
