Yeah I love TNG. Some episodes I know I'll still love to watch in 30, 40 years, like The Inner Light.

All the time. It all started when I used to watch TNG on BBC2 with my dad many moons ago. Now, I watch every series quite frequently.

I was born a trekkie, and I'll die one. Don't give a smeg if people call me a nerd because of that.

I only started watching the original series this year! Have yet to move onto any of the others though.

Yup, I watch TNG and Voyager when I can. Although usually it's on Youtube rather than the TV.

I <3 Voyager!!!! It was amazing. Enterprise was the worst in my opinion - I just don't like things set in the past... which in Enterprise, was still the future in our eyes. But meh... I can't believe they don't do any new Star Trek series any more

I love star Trek. I've watched all of TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and all the films.

I've got all the series on DVD, right now I'm still making my way through enterprise and the animated series.

Pretty interesting that Voyager seems to be alot of people's favourite, it's mine too btw :P. Think I'm gonna start watching DS9 from the beginning soon, can't believe it's almost 20 years old and still timeless! Was watching one of the extras and I think one of the producers said they just hope that people still watch it in the future and he was right!

Voyager isn't my favourite. The captain's acting is terrible quite often with her annoying voice. Characters are pretty basic and little development (at the other extreme, character development on DS9 is stellar-- Gul Dukat and Quark for example). The latter series get a bit flaky too.

TNG would be my favourite. There were quite a few rather stupid episodes and the first series is a slow starter, but the cast is without doubt the strongest of all Star Treks: Picard, Data, La Forge, the Doctor, Worf, Kirk. It's also the series that resurrected Star Trek. The cast steal the show and there are enough great episodes to make it stand head and shoulders above the others.

Ive seen all of ds9, the writing and acting are the best out of all the star treks. I think voyager had a lot of potential but wasted it, there are only a few episodes I like.

I never gave the original a go, just never appealed to me. Started off with buying the Voyager boxsets, then worked my way up to DS9, Enterprise and just finished TNG last summer. DS9 & Voyager are probably are my favourites, you'll love Voyager. Wish i could go back & enjoy them like I'm watching it for the first time.
You should give TOS a go. It's great. I've been slowly making my way through it (slow due to lack of time to actually sit down and watch than it not being good).

I do love a bit Star Trek.

I love star trek and I have all 5 seasons and all the 11 films on DVD!

I used to watch it on BBC2 when I was little and Worf's forehead ridges got stuck in my head, I got hooked when I was about 11-12 on Virgin 1 (Damn you Branson) and the obsession still going strong 5 years later (16 and a star trek maniac).

Played Bridge commander and I'm now on Star Trek online ranked Captain. Got one of those fancy dress wrath of khan uniforms in my wardrobe

Best Captain - Both Kirk and picard
Favourite Series - TOS and TNG
Favourite Film - Wrath of Khan then Generations and First contact
Favourite Episode: Yesterdays Enterprise and the trouble with tribbles DS9 episode
Favourite ship - Enterprise A, thing of beauty

Remember people, Channel 148 Sky on CBS Action Star Trek is on 6 days a week, Voyager on at 5PM and 8PM and TOS at 6 on weekdays, Omnibus on Saturday, Keep watching so you don't dragged up Lucas's arse and into the dark side.

I do hope the new Star Trek sequel isn't a reworking on Wrath of Khan. What really made that was the episode which aired long before it. They won't have that this time. :moon:

They won't do that again. Besides, they already did that with Star Trek Nemesis.

I'll try but just seems so dated that I don't think I'd enjoy it. Plus I've still got so many things things to watch like Breaking bad & Babylon 5 someone recommended on this thead.

Think I started wacthing it when I was 13 & just flicked over to a Voyager episode since there was nothing on. Still remember it was the Void & since then I'd tune in to Sky One every Saturday to watch it until I bought the DVDs. Haven't got the dress uniforms only the dvds haha.

Best Captain - Janeway & Picard
Favourite Series - VOY & DSq
Favourite Film - First Contact & Insurrection
Favourite Episode: Year of Hell Part 1 & 2, Equinox Part 1 & 2, In The Pale Moonlight
Favourite ship - Voyager but thought the Prometheus was pretty awesome!

One of my favourite Voyager episodes was resistance in season 2 of voyager, very emotional, others were year of hell, equinox, and endgame

Have you Never watched Kirks movies? Voyager and DS9 put together cannot be compared to the great Kirk and his Enterprise refit, watch Generations and the wrath of Khan.

Babylon 5 is truly awful, I mean seriously and I totally agree with Sheldon cooper, could not stand a second of it, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda was quite good too!

I wouldn't a massive fan of Generations - I think Data began to annoy me too much.

I like watching the old series. Something good about it. I also like watching the movies. Even the ones that aren't so popular with the Trekkie nerds. On the whole I don't think them to be bad.

Forgot Endgame, gutted when it ended though! Nah, never watched any of the old movies but then again I might give 'em a go.

Is it really that bad? Everyone else says how good it is & like DS9.

Generations is one of my favourites as it has both Kirk and Picard featured, I loved the Kirk scene at the beginning and the Enterprise D crash, but my favourites are in this order

    The Wrath of Khan
    The Undiscovered Country
    First Contact
    Generations
    The Voyage home
    The Search for Spock
    2009 Movie
    Insurrection
    The Motion Picture
    The Final frontier
    Nemesis

Voyager was great, wish they made a film. I really think Kirk should be in the next movie as I don't know how long shatner can go on for, and it would be a real shame if he wasn't.

Babylon 5 is so bad, that I cannot explain how bad it is, the CGI graphics are god awful and make it look like something created in Adobe flash. The storyline is awful and the battles are awful, the characters are awful and that silly hologram thing is awful. Awful.

By the way TNG is now on1080p HD bluray with 7.1 Surround sound and its all been remastered, you can get it on TPB now, Stunning. Its only 3 episodes but I think season 1 is out now.

If you want to start out on Kirk and co films, I suggest you watch The undiscovered country first, then The wrath of khan, Search for spock and the whale one (ST4).
