do i need A level science - nursing learning disability
I want to do the Nursing - Learning Disability course at Uni in a few years time
I want to after that either work for a nursing home or work in a special needs department at a school.
I have Chosen A levels:
Double Health and Social Care, Communication and Culture, Music (personal hobby subject).
To get on a uni course like nursing - learning disabiltiy will my chosen A levels get me there? Or do i need a science. The only option block free is Biology?
The course i want at uni isnt an intense science nursing to become say a doctor ( i think!) so would i need science?
My predicted GCSEs are:
English lang: A
English Lit: B
Science 1 : B
Science 2: B
Maths: C
Media: A
Graphics: A
ICT: A
Music: A
Humanities: A
Thank you

Re: do i need A level science - nursing learning disabilityAfter a quick look, you need at least 5 A-C's at GCSE, including maths english & science. And you'll need about BBC/BCC at A level. It doesn't specify which A levels you need, but it would be helpful to do biology I'm sure.

Re: do i need A level science - nursing learning disability
Hey
!
I've got a place to study LD nursing for this september. I did BTEC Health and Social Care, which is equivalent to 3 a levels...and not a problem
I also think it's more ideal to do health and social care as opposed to normal a levels, because the work is so related to modules that are on the nursing course
