The Dark Knight - Joker

Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

    The Dark Knight - Joker
Towards the end of the film, when Batman and Joker are on the building overlooking the ferries, the Joker says to Batman: "Do you how I got these scars?"
Batman responds with: "No, but I know how you got these!" and then shoots him with those blade things from his arm pad.

Where do these hit, and how come they aren't visible when the Joker is dangling upside down? If they hit him on the neck/face as it looks like they would have done, how does it not kill him?

I love the film, and especially the Joker, but this is one little thing, indeed it is the only thing, that bugs me about the movie. Is it just a continuation error in the filming?

Ooh, I might watch this film again this weekend. I'll watch out for it and will let you know. I'm guessing the producers didn't give that too much thought other than to finish off a cool line but will look. I love spotting little things like this

Are there any other little nuggets I should watch out for?

It's actually a pretty big deal as those blades were the sole reason Batman won the fight. Otherwise he was pinned down, the boats would've been blown, and the Joker would've done whatever he pleased.

Can see the cuts they made on the Jokers left cheek when he is hanging upside down

Really? I'd be amazed if I'd missed that! But nevertheless, you'd think that blades shot from such a short distance would at least stick into his face...

I think Nolan deliberately does this to add to the mystery of the origin of the scars. You can't see the side of his face it lands on, the left, but its nothing that bad.

I totally agree with you but my friend, Heath Ledger really plays legendary role of Joker in The Dark Knight. I totally agree with truth that he is died after the movie but his character Joker still alives in our lives. I am highly impressed by the character of this movie. I really want to salute him.
