Best gadget insurance for laptop, camera and phone?

I'm looking at getting some insurance sorted for my devices, but I'd like to hear some reviews on the various providers and decide what's best for me.

I'll be insuring my DSLR camera, plus 3 or 4 lenses and other equipment (like flashguns, etc)

I'll be insuring my mobile phone

I'll hopefully be insuring my new laptop (for university) and I'd like to add my desktop computer to the list before the warranty runs out.

I hear there are two types of pay-out for insurance though, and I'd like to check which one is right. I believe there's one which will replace the product, there's one which will give the market value of the product and another which will give the original RRP of the product? Something like that.

I've had a look at Protect Your Bubble and it seems to cover pretty much everything, but has anyone used them? And which pay-out should I be looking for?

Ideally, I'd like to insure everything together (as it will reduce the cost overall) but I can understand if there are specialists for each.

Cheers

Protect Your Bubble is a good option, I've used them before and they've been good. If you're a student, personally I'd lean towards Endsleigh as they're specialists in student insurance and are pretty well regarded.

Either is better than having no cover at all though! When I had just started uni a friend spilt his entire can of cider on my new laptop, destroying it instantly

Definitely keep your laptop/phone/camera/gadgets insured.

For my benefit or your own post count? If you have something relevant, I'd like to hear it. If not, then it doesn't belong here.

This, so much.

I haven't used that particular site btw, but I would recommend getting one that replaces the product. The one that gives you the original RRP can be quite pricey, the one that gives you the market value will be a very low estimate, and you will probably not have enough cash to buy back your lost items in decent condition and the one that replaces the product will simply give you a new product, and if that isn't available they will normally bump you up to a newer model in the same price range as your old model.

Actually for my benefit. I'm in a similar situation and was also hoping for advice.
I've never heard of people keeping track of post counts? Do people actually care about that?
