What is your favourite season for clothes?
This morning I was flicking through some catalogues which were delivered to my house for the autumn season. It made me think about what my favourite season was and other peoples' preferences.
Personally, I've always preferred autumn/winter. I like a smart coat, boots and layering clothes, compared to the heat where I am restricted to wearing 3/4 lengths at the odd time where the temperature reaches 30 degrees +.
Even though it's cold and I dislike the snow, I just like wearing cosier clothes as they're much nicer than what the summer has to offer!
So my favourite time of the year is from September to December, my least favourite is April to August.

Re: What is your favourite season for clothes?
i love the winter, because i can get all snuggled up in blankets and i love layering up all my clothes, so i'm nice and toasty, not a massive fan of summer because hate being too hot, and hate looking at peoples flabby thighs, things like that should be modestly covered in a lovely flow-y skirt.

Re: What is your favourite season for clothes?
Winter. You can never wear too many layers
I love wearing snuggly jumpers, scarves, hats. It's nice snuggling into your clothes when you're out. I have far too many jumpers in my wardrobe so it gives me a chance to wear them all, and I feel more free to wear dark colours, and I also don't need to worry about looking like an idiot in a dress

Re: What is your favourite season for clothes?
Autumn-winter. I like tights, boots, dresses and cardigans for uni, and hoodies and jeans for relaxing in. For work, it'd be black tights, a shirt, skirt and cardie.
SO much easier than that situation in summer when I want to wear a T-shirt...but then when I go inside it's too cold due to the air-con. And I'm never sure whether my summer T-Shirt is opaque enough...and I don't want to wear a camisole/ cardie with it because then it'll be too hot.
Urrrrrrgh. I like winter. -

Everyone is forever harping on about how summer is far better for style. it's really not for men at least. Yes women have a range of pretty dresses, skirts, tight jeans, tube tops, spaghetti straps, tshirts, blouses and everything else ive forgotten to mention to wear but for guys it's a choice of tshirt or shirt plus a choice of stupid caption on tshirt or whether to tuck shirt in or out. If you go out on a hot day you will see all guys in pretty much the same thing. 1) chinos and blue shirt 2) chinos and checked shirt 3) tshirt and jeans 4) any shirt and jeans. in winter you can layer. I wear a sleek italian wool coat, various Tommy Hilfiger colourful preppy style jumpers and some shirts trousers and shoes all together. it is true everyone does look worse in winter however but that is simply because people don't know how to layer. They see that its cold so they just think " drab black coat/hoodie/baggy jumper time" -
Re: What is your favourite season for clothes?
i'm an autumn/winter too. it's not too cold but you still get to wear all those nice clothes - nice coats, scarves, cute mittens and hats, and i'm a big fan of cable-knit tights and a great pair of leather boots. with extra socks and legwarmers! and my one cashmere jumper that feels just like a hug when i'm wearing it

and i don't really like summer, i hate watching people's legs/stomachs/arms wobbling around while they're wearing clothes that are too short/tight/revealing. dress properly girls!!Last edited by canŵio; 03-08-2012 at 20:23.
