Re: University of Exeter Q&A 3rd – 17th August 2012Yes you can apply to change your programme of study either before you register or within the first four weeks of term. However, you would normally be expected to meet the standard entrance requirements as advertised on our website. I hope this helps.(Original post by pbsjohnz)
Is it possible to change courses before or during our first year? Even if the new course has slightly higher entry grades? -

Can you join a sport at beginners level, and do you try out as a beginner? -

Hello,
I am thinking of doing Law at Exeter - but only do A-Level Law, English Language and Psychology - and hope to pick up Eng Lit AS in my second year to study with those three A2s. How competitive is Law at Exeter? Would you say that those three subjects that I study are possibly "soft-courses" and will they put me at a disadvantage if I am up against students studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths... etc
Thank you

Re: University of Exeter Q&A 3rd – 17th August 2012The only subject requirement we have for Law is GCSE English Language grade B or above so your A level subjects won't put you at any disadvantage! In terms of how competitive Law is here, the typical offer range is AAA-AAB but as long as you have those predicted grades when applying, you should be fine.(Original post by Andicate)

Re: University of Exeter Q&A 3rd – 17th August 2012Yup, the saturday and sunday are for moving in - the Accommodation Office will let you know which day - and then everything really kicks off from Monday 17th Sept.(Original post by bbbonnie)
It says that Fresher's starts on the 15th of September, but that's a Saturday. Will the 15th just be a "moving in day" kind of thing and fresher's truly begins on the 17th? -

Firstly, I have been firmly accepted to study in PgDip Mining Engineering programme, how can I be transfered to Msc?
Secondly, when you will start sending accommodation offers for Cornwall campus.
Thanks for your time.Last edited by mindfield; 03-08-2012 at 16:32. -

Re: University of Exeter Q&A 3rd – 17th August 2012The A level grades required are A*AA-AAA and the subject requirements are GCE AL Chemistry and either Biology or Physics. Biology must be achieved at a minimum of Grade C at AS level if not studied at AL. Four subjects must be studied at AS level. General Studies is not included in any offer.(Original post by CameronLee)
What are your entry requirements for medicine ( GCSE and Ukcat ) ?
All other details can be found at http://www.exeter.ac.uk/undergraduat...edicine/entry/
I hope that's of some help. -

Can I study Psychology accredited by BPS with Criminology in Flexible Combined Honours?
If you want to discuss further, email fch@exeter.ac.uk and the department staff will be more than happy to discuss your options with you. -

Hi, yes, contacting the international office is definitely the best thing to do. Their email is intoff@exeter.ac.uk(Original post by bbbonnie)
Hi,
I'm an international student and I have a problem regarding my CAS statement. Is it best I call the international admissions office or should I contact my subject department directly?
Thanks!

Re: University of Exeter Q&A 3rd – 17th August 2012
Hi there,
I'm a mature student who'll be coming to study Medical Imaging at Exeter in September.
My question is relating to personal transport - I understand that the university has a green policy and doesn't encourage students to bring their cars, hence the on-campus halls of residence don't provide parking spaces for students.
But as I am coming from nearly 200 miles away and have elderly parents, I am keen to keep my own mode of transport to visit home, and not have to pay £120 a go for a return ticket on the train.
Would you know if there are any car parks in Exeter where I can pay for a 3, 6, or 9 month parking permit, to keep my car there? Or where I could find out that kind of information? I am not planning to use my car while in Exeter, I just need somewhere to keep it for when I visit home. I'll be transporting all my belongings in it by myself when I move into halls of residence, so I have no choice but to bring it with me anyway.
Thanks in advance. -

I haven't been able to book my arrival date for accommodation, and I really need to book my flight in from Canada (I'm an international student). If I fly in on the 14th, will I be able to arrive at my residence? I would rather not stay in a hostel with all my law school luggage.

Hi, off the top of my head I'm afraid I don't know if there are any parking options for you but I will check with my colleagues first thing tomorrow and get back to you.(Original post by purple_tigger)
