    Lost a stone in 3 1/2 weeks.
I realise this may be a off reading and it may rise 1/2 pounds, but to lose this amount of weight by doing nothing other than cutting ****ty foods out of my diet, nothing processed, no take away, keeping track of my sugar etc etc. That and walking my dog 3 miles a day. This is really encouraging.

Brilliant work! I lost about a stone in a month doing a very similar thing, cut all the bad foods out, stopped even eating cheese and running loads, progress slowed a lot though after that initial stone though so don't be discouraged

Thanks mate! Aye, cut fat out of my diet mostly. I am running aswell, but I picked up a fairly painful knee injury the other day and can hardly walk, let alone run! And nah I won't be, I've gone from eating bad food constantly and playing video games, hardly ever getting any exercise, so I'm not surprised it's dropped off quick.

That first weigh in where you see you've lost a full stone, damn it feels good though eh? It's great

Haha, yes it does. I noticed this morning as a large T shirt that fit me pretty well before is now looking a bit baggy! First time I've weighed myself since I started dieting, battery in my scales was dead!

Nice one! I need to give my diet a start - looking to lose two stone but I think once I've lost the first one, I'll be more motivated to continue. Congrats with your weight loss - you've encouraged me haha

Thanks, and yeah, I've tried a few times before, but never hit this amount and it has encouraged me to carry on. I hope everything goes well for you Looking to lose three myself!

No offence, your diet is really bad if you cut fat out.

This. Fats are essential to any diet, especially to help with weight loss. Helps for a faster metabolism too. Keep some good fats like nuts, olive oil, cottage cheese, peanut butter and avocados. Fish is also good too .

Well done OP, you should be really pleased

I've so far lost just under a stone since the second week of July, hoping to lose another by next month but probably a bit too optimistic. Another stone and a half (maybe two) by the time I go back to university and I'll be happy.

Problem is, I've cut pretty much all the crap out of my diet and I've been upping my exercise (though I'd like to go more) and the weight loss is slowing down, I'm starting to plateau again. Any ideas?

This has definitely inspired me to start being much healthier...well done! Out of interest, how far/how often did you run in the period you both lost the first stone?

Good on you And I started Couch to 5k, there's a few threads on here about it, if not just Google it, but I also walk around 6ish miles aswell, I live in the country so it's not all grey buildings which helps! I also cycle 3miles a day. I'm waiting to start a new job atm, so I have a lot of time on my hands, so I decided to use it this way. But tbh, you'll be surprised how much drops off just by changing your diet from bad to good!

I was running about 3.5k at first for 3 days straight and then one off and just doing the 3 on 1 off system, seems to work quite well for me I think. Cutting cheese and junk food etc out my diet was the biggest factor too I think

Nah, I meant bad/saturated fats! I couldn't even conceive cutting peanut butter out of my diet.

Yeah, thats good. As long as you are taking in some healthy fats then it is perfectly fine. Don't want to be going near them transfats
