Re: Secret SocietiesThey're not very secret if we know about them?(Original post by G56)
Like the Skull and Crossbones at Yale or the Phoenix at Harvard?

Re: Secret SocietiesWhat? I'm at Downing, and other than the standard drinking societies, I don't think there's anything else!(Original post by Harry S Truman)
Make sure you get into Downing College if you want to join the local chapter of the Illuminati.
(Maybe I'm not good enough for them...) -
Re: Secret SocietiesIf these guys are still going, then they count I suppose.(Original post by G56)
Do they exist at Cambridge?
I'm talking more of the conspiratorial, intellectual society; rather than drinking society.
Like the Skull and Crossbones at Yale or the Phoenix at Harvard? -
Re: Secret SocietiesNo, I do mean the Adonis society.(Original post by It could be lupus)
Perhaps you are thinking of the Apostles?
(sssshhhhhhhh) -
Re: Secret SocietiesBut aren't the Adonians really hard to get into? You'd have to be very well connected.(Original post by It could be lupus)
Well I suppose the Adonis society would be good, depending on the OP's tastes
Just realised that could be construed as an unsavoury pun given the context

Re: Secret SocietiesOh you'd be surprised... seriously.(Original post by ukdragon37)
But aren't the Adonians really hard to get into? You'd have to be very well connected.
As for the OP's question, yes they do exist, although I don't know if it's right to call them secret societies. A more fitting description would be super exclusive societies.
