Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeNot sure about Houlihan;wesbite doesn't seem to be very useful.Just out of interest have you got in experience in Mergers and acquisitions? Is it even worth applying without experience in the industry?(Original post by massylib)
good point. i was thinking the same today. going to send off my application for lazard and houlihan soon. does houlihan have a verbal test as well? doesn't say anything here I'm afraid -
Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeI'm applying and I have experience in AM, however the Head of UK IB is an Alum from my uni and we had a talk from him earlier this year so I already know someone in the company, doesn't mean I'll get in, but still!(Original post by manutd_champions)

Re: Lazard analyst graduate programme
Missed the Houlihan Lokey deadline last year unfortunately. But I'll try my luck this year!! Heard from someone startn there that they booked the whole Plaza hotel in New York for their graduate class this year
Do you guys have previous work experience in IB? Yeah, its a good start to know someone, sure it counts. Well done
-
Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeYeh I have got a similar question. Do you guys have any experience in IB? I don't have any formal experience in this area, but I do in economics. Not sure whether it's worth applying .(Original post by thegeniouc93)

Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeFor internships, definitely. For a graduate scheme, you will be up against people with at least one internship. There may also be less than 5 open spots at Lazard for full-time hires.(Original post by manutd_champions)

Re: Lazard analyst graduate programme
I was told by a friend who interviewed at Lazard last year for SA that they do require M&A experience to join their graduate program.
I was also told that they give a huge importance to the online tests.
I will probably apply and I have M&A experiences even if, since they are just going to recruit 20 people, including the ppl that they will keep from their SA class, it is probably impossible to get in... -
Re: Lazard analyst graduate programme
I have submitted my application to HL and I received an email with the following:
"REMINDER: When you have a chance please submit your feedback on the following interview:
Candidate:
Requisition: Campus Recruiting: Financial Analyst
Interview Type:
Date:
Time:
Location: Campus Recruiting - All Offices
Room:
Do you have any idea of what this is this? Did they send me the email that the system usually send to the HR who has to follow the application process?Last edited by cruel3a; 06-08-2012 at 11:17. -

Yup, got that too. No idea -
Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeNah. dont think it was meant for us. We should have received a confirmation email. It looks like an internal one. Their application process only started recently so its prob something they will fix soon?(Original post by cruel3a)
But were you able to "click here to submit feedback"? I did not have any word/button to click... -
Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeI received this as well. It's obviously a mistake.(Original post by cruel3a)

Re: Lazard analyst graduate programme
i'm sure they'll fix it n it's really still early and most schemes have not opened yet. regarding houlihan and lazard, have you guys sent off a general application to whatever position or have you targeted your application to a specific role? because at houlihan you can also fll out a general application form..

Re: Lazard analyst graduate programme
These guys generally dont do any screening before the verbal and numerical tests. For the bigger banks they screen post the tests and you are thereafter invited to either an interview, phone interview or assessment centre. They have quite large centralised teams who do this full time
For the smaller boutiques (and mid-market firms) who dont use recruiters and generally dont get 100's of applications, they dont screen before the tests.
(from a guy with years of I-banking experience
)
A piece of advice: dont put all your eggs in one basket - send out about 20 applications...

Re: Lazard analyst graduate programmeI totally agree ..send out 20 applications, but carefully target each to the certain position and firm. so the whole process entails loads of research..(Original post by Kasper123)
