Re: General Cycling Thread
Does anyone know anything about those men dressed in suits who give the female cyclists a push up the backside at the start of the race? Also worth noting that they touch their rears for the 2 minutes preceding the start too (yes, including Miss Pendleton's).

What skills would one need for this job?
I feel that, with a 1st class degree in BSc mathematics, a valid CRB and a full driving licence that I would be suited to the role. I have plenty of work experience and would very much like a new challenge.
So, if there are any vacancies going, please let me know.

Re: General Cycling ThreadThe team ones are bike mechanics or specialists who do stuff for each team. The guys in suits are commissaires/UCI/IOC officials.(Original post by Dagnabbit)

They're holding the bike saddles, not their bums.
If there's ever a TSR Track Team, I'll put your name forward.
Australia up next in the women's pursuit, then NZ and GB.Last edited by Roobsa; 03-08-2012 at 17:43. -
Re: General Cycling ThreadThey don't actually touch the bums, their hand is holding the bottom of the seat.(Original post by Dagnabbit)

Re: General Cycling ThreadYep, you're right.(Original post by Foghorn Leghorn)

Unfortunately, by the time I noticed, my post was already 3 minutes old so I decided to leave it.

Re: General Cycling ThreadThat's just showing off.(Original post by Deshi)
I've just read somewhere that...
"EVERY British rider competing in a timed event has set a world record here in London"
And nicely done Vicky.
