What will YOU be doing is you DON'T get into uni?
Hi, I thought I would set up this thread because I'm not sure that i will get into my firm choice. If i do not get into my firm choice I have decided I am not going to uni, even if i get into my insurance. I am so in love with my firm uni and the course it offers, i just cant see myself anywhere else
So, i thought i would be nice to know if others have got any plans if you don't get into your firm, it would be nice to know if there are other people that feel the same as me

May I ask what is your firm choice?
My Firm choice is a BEd (Bachelor of Education) to become a Primary School Teacher at the University of Derby

Why is it that you ask?? How about you (that is if you have applied to uni)??

If I don't get a place for Speech and Language Therapy I'm not going to accept any other courses, I'm going to have a gap year, get some experience in SLT, as much as I can! Read everything I can on SLT I can get my hands on, have a nice holiday in Thailand and apply for next 2013! If I send my application off in sept / oct as I will already have my grades it should make the process a bit easier!

I will also probably have a bit of a cry but will Get Over It and look forward to a full times wage and no studying for a year and hopefully get a place for 2013

Carry on working full-time whilst preparing to become an au-pair in France, hopefully by the start of 2013. Then come back and resit French A Level, and reapply ofc.

Well, I've already failed at getting into veterinary for this year, so I'm gonna get a job and apply again next year. If I don't get my grades I'm gonna apply abroad or give up the dream and do English lit at uni instead as it's my favourite lesson

I don't know if I'll reapply if I don't get in this year. There's a delay issue with my results and I've become very paranoid and I'm starting to consider alternatives if my results aren't with the university in time and they just withdraw their offer. I know I'll try and get a job, full time if possible and I'll earn and save as much as I can and eventually move out. I might reapply just in case I don't manage to find a job so there's a back up if I don't manage to find work by the time the next academic year rolls round.

If I get really bad grades , then I won't go to uni. I don't see the point, because if I go through clearing I'll just panic and go somewhere I don't really want to go. I'd rather take a year out, resit some modules, get a job and possibly do some travelling. I'm jus so worried for results!

I'll probably cry...my parents are like 'if you can't get the grades you need after 2 years of studying then there is no point resitting them' blah blah. On the plus side I'm equally in love with my insurance choice so wouldn't be too bothered if I went there as I already had the grades for it before I even sat my final exams.

My firm is Brunel mainly because I loved the university when I visited. It felt like home to me. Derby a lot of my friends said that is a really good university.

I think because I botched my English exam up, I'm going to get AAB and miss both my firm and insurance (Firm is AAA KCL English and insurance is Notts ABB with A in Eng). If that's the case, I'm going to find a maths course in clearing. :w00t:
