    2012 Grad Schemes
Is it worth applying for the few grad schemes left open for 2012? There probably wont be that many places left. Will I be able to reapply for 2013 as soon as it opens or have to wait for the same time next year?

Hard call to make, I would apply for any schemes still recruiting, cos if u get a job, then I would take it...

But look at it this way, if you apply for this cycle, you can still apply for next cycles jobs if you get an offer for a job, you do not want,

If I apply this cycle (2012) for company X and get rejected can I reapply for the next cycle (2013) for company X?

I ask because company X has a few positions left for 2012 but has already opened 2013 applications.
I would prefer to start 2012 but higher chance I will be rejected. However if I can reapply there's no risk.

Depends on the company. If for example you are talking about Deloitte, you cannot apply for another 12 months so would miss out on applying for 2013 entry.

Thanks, I was talking about Deloitte amongst others. Guess I'll have to check with each company. Do you know if it's the same with most other firms?

Had a feeling it would be Deloitte. They are a bit ridiculous with their reapplying, I shot off a naive application beginning of November that didn't get anywhere and now when I feel a lot more prepared and certain of what I want to do all the jobs will probably be gone! Ridiculous. I think E&Y are 12 months, but PWC are 3 months (I think). Best to check the individual companies websites or email HR.

That's unfortunate - I don't know why they're so strict with their rules. I probably don't stand much of a chance anyway as I got a 2.2, even though it's from LSE with mitigating circumstances. I think I'll try and brush up on my knowledge of the industry and try and get into a small, local firm. Best of luck with your apps.
