It just looks grainy, and the tv is a decent 1080p tv.
Is there anyway to make it actually look HD? I have no idea about technology thats the problem.
Read what Outsanity has said, to get full HD you need a cable connecting them which is capable of it.(Original post by Outsanity)
Are you connecting via HDMI or using the RBG cable for the older models? If the latter is the case, do you have the cable adapted for HD tvs and is it switched to HD?
And have you got the settings right?

Re: Xbox360 hooked up to HD tv - but looks un-HDYep, thanks everyone! It looks a bit rubbish and grainy not being on hd!(Original post by Spontogical)
HDMI/Component cables? -
Re: Xbox360 hooked up to HD tv - but looks un-HDIt can, or at least the newer ones can. But you need a HDMI cable. The standard composite cable (yellow, red, white) isn't going to do any form of HD.(Original post by Repressor)
I don't think the xbox can output 1080p. It'll do 720p but it'll look a bit strange on a 1080p tv. Ofcourse, xbox games aren't exactly the best graphics in the world in the first place...
